TEAM-MATE
Once again, welcome in our Hublot Forum of Friendship match day thread, it's time for day four of the FIFA World Cup 2018.

After yesterday's four matches, we'll only get three today:

Costa Rica vs Serbia, 14:00 CET, 1 p.m. BST, 8 a.m. EST, Samara
Germany vs Mexico, 17:00 CET, 4 p.m. BST, 11 a.m. EST, Moscow
Brazil vs Switzerland, 20:00 CET, 7 p.m. BST, 2 p.m. EST, Rostov-on-Don

The day starts with Costa Rica vs Serbia, Group E's underdog against a solid European side. But Costa Rica were thought to be a sure bet for last place in their group in 2014, yet they managed to top the group, ahead of Uruguay, England (lol) and Italy (lol). Can Keylor Navas and his team do it again? Or will the Serbs preserve their chances for a second place finish by beating Costa Rica? Tune in and find out ;)

The second match today will be between defending World Cup champion, Germany, and the unquestionably best North American team, Mexico. Germany are perennial title contenders and heavily favored to top their group, Mexico have some good players and have decent odds of getting out of Group F. I want to see some heroic goalkeeping from Ochoa before our brave German lads shoot them out of the stadium.

Last match today will be between Brazil, another serious contender to win the World Cup, and Switzerland, who actually had a pretty convincing qualifying, coming in second place behind Portugal only because of a worse goal difference. Brazil are expected to win the game (and top Group E), with players like Neymar, Marcelo and Thiago Silva in their squad. Amazingly, they're bringing another Fred to the tournament. Let's hope for them that this won't end as badly as the last World Cup. Meanwhile, the Swiss will want to preserve their chances of finishing second in their group by maybe eking out a draw or not losing too badly.

For all the good wuruld cup/bad wuruld cup debate, remember, no matter what, this is the stage of the tournament where there are three games on in a row. Your buzz will change when there's only two games on in a day, and it'll be a totally different experience with the one game a day semi final stage.

Im interested to see how Milinkovic-Savic gets on. He's a really good player but internationals are always a different thing. Don't think he's really had a stage as big as this in his career yet.

Also ivanovic and kolarov has to be the most geriatric fullback pairing I've ever seen.

My system of choosing who to support based on how many of their players played or play for Spurs breaks down for Mexico and Brazil. Which wasteful attacking midfielder to have played for Spurs, Barcelona and in a fail retirement league do I go with, Johnny Two Saints or Little Paul?

I found a betting account of mine with $17 in it. I'm going to get excited about losing money with placing in-play bets on underdog teams who look good for five minutes.

Anthems are a one all draw. Costa Rica will be annoyed as their style was better, but Serbia go through on penalties due to an intimidating Mr. Angry Face.
