Like the random Gaelic names the wild hunt is basically a rip off of the similar Irish thing where a bunch of fae assholes ride around hunting people for fun. But they want Ciri for some reason? This game never made any sense to me overall really

This game never made any sense to me overall really It’s been a while since I played or read the books but iirc they’re a kingdom of elves that fled to another world that occasionally cross back into the Witcher world for slave raids and stuff. They want Ciri because the power in her special blood would let them open a portal big enough for a full-scale invasion instead of small raids.

I killed the griffin and I'm going to Virginia to find my gf. I would stick around White Orchard more but every question mark I explore has monsters too strong for me at this time. Just going to stick to the story for now

Just going to stick to the story for now white orchard is the tutorial zone so you're not missing a ton (i found all the ?s, but i think i spent like 15 minutes fighting one bear, lol). velen is huge, there are some ?s that are too high level until the end game and some you literally can't get to until later, and also there are a ton that open up through the main story. before you leave velen, though , if you haven't found the Fools Gold quest, look up its location and find it IMO, it's a fun one.
