https://wiki.wesleyguide.com/skillz_4_goonz should mostly still be accurate.

That boff layout is super ancient but the concepts are still the same. Chain two emergency powers and two attack patterns; add in appropriate weapon buffs and some heals.

Basically antiproton. They changed how procs work a while back, so now you can't really rely on it happening at all and vanilla AP guns don't have a proc, they just have a natural [CrtD] mod instead.

There's not really any reason to worry about minmaxing guns though, just pick the color you want to see the most of

Yeah nearly every system has changed so just look at the wiki for a skill spec or whatever. I would recommend doing the TOS intro I thought that was charming, but you should probably just make some sort of romulan to take to endgame

Nah I meant literally just do the intro, log out and ignore that character after you get brought to the present. I thought that little micro-arc was fun and they really nailed the tos aesthetic

I wouldn't really worry about console sets. Set bonuses were something to chase when the only thing around was MACO or Omega, but I'm pretty sure they're all totally inconsequential after eight years of power creep.

I mean, if they grant some clicky you wanna gently caress around with go ahead, but don't think you need them for any other reason whatsoever. Iconian set aside, ofc, all praise the mighty iconian set.

The problem with introducing a new fleet holding that is a massive, gigantic dil sink is that eventually the most dedicated insane players will finish it. Then you have a bunch of players who spent the last year figuring out the best way to produce hundreds of thousands of refined dil a day, and now they have nothing to spend it on.

Very true, however, you'd imagine that excess dil would get turned into keys and bring down the price of some ships. But the last 2-3 ships that got added to infinity box are still bonkers expensive.

Played that first disco mission and that cutscene in the engine room where the tardigrade bursts out of confinement and pounces on a guy left me in tears. It mauls the one dude and just as it lifts its head to deliver a menacing stare directly to camera the sound effect for the gambling device on my boff goes off. Game can still accidentally be good.

If there's something dumb in AoD my honest bet would be to blame it on CBS

For everything else, maybe, for Discovery stuff, not so much. Recently fired CBS CEO and sex-pervert Les Moonves, who cancelled Enterprise just as it was starting not to suck and famously thought scifi in general was complete bullshit not worth spending time or money on, was the guy that greenlit STD to boost CBS all access numbers. But, because he didn't want to risk anything for it, STD was produced under JJ's Bad Robot license with Netflix's money. The only involvement CBS has is distribution rights within the USA. All that "STD is prime universe" bullshit is basically just Bad Robot trying to change what people perceive as 'prime' because none of the JJverse movie merchandise sold at all and they are not allowed to sell anything that "looks like" prime trek.

The whole thing is a mess, but basically don't blame CBS for the minutiae of AoD

Yeah S1 did, but they literally had to GIVE the Short Treks away because everyone passed on them and obv they can't trick Netflix into giving them another colossal handout. Yet they are still trusting world famous hack Alex kurtzman to produce more trash. Is this whole Star Trek All Access thing a Producers type scam?

It might work as intended after a few seasons if/when STD finds its feet (and an audience), but forcing Cryptic to pivot so abruptly, and in time for STD S2, left the expansion rather barebones. Doesn't help that anyone halfway competent was already moved over to the mtg mmo long ago.

The show portrayed literally every Klingon (even those on the homeworld) as bald in S1, so they couldn't use the "it was only a small extreme group" excuse.

Remember in the pilot when those extremists activated the bat signal and all the heads of the kingon great houses warped into the system about 1 second later laughing at them and calling them nerds? Disregarding the hilarious response time, the retcon still doesn't work because those guys showed up pre-shaven too. Maybe the show runners just assumed all the viewers were really embarrassed and blocked the entire affair from their memory too, they'd be partially right about that.

Back on topic: does any content from the past year or so actually have big spongy hp bags? It'd been a couple years since I cared about anything so I went and made a crf boat and while I appreciate them unfucking cannons finally, it seems like they only bothered to do it now that it's pointless. Every recent tfo I've experienced just follows the formula of "Destroy this continually respawning cloud of frigates for 15 minutes." I ran a lazy isa for kicks and the parse showed my highest spike at 800k dps, so I'm guessing the try-hards can push that well past a million... but is there anything that can actually eat that kind of punishment other than old timey borg gates?
