pretty sure since lcd companies make all their money off phone screens this is just repurposing the same density as phone screens just at huge sizes

most 4k projectors under 10 grand can't do actual 4k and projectors are a pain in the rear end, noisy and require maintenance so they've been relegated to grognard use

RGBY was bullshit but most (all?) oleds are RGBW, that was how they managed to get OLEDs that don't burn out as unevenly as the original ones

Panasonic already sells them in europe but they use lg panels and I don’t think anyone else is scheduled to build a plant for oiled tv screens, all the money is in phone screens
