This is kind of the heart of these 5000 word post arguments, there’s a key sticking point. There’s “OC’s” and there’s “original character do not steal” and everyone is talking past each other without realizing they’re using the word differently. Edit: I guess the spider-gwen name would never be a good name for a pro hero, but why is she ghost spider now?

Marvel always pushes titles at the same time as movies, but I’ve never seen them successfully match settings. I think Black Panther had amnesia in space when his movie came out. The new Spider-Verse comic is specifically for the movie fans, and even that features completely new worlds like the punk universe and black and white manga universe.
