UPDATE - It's election time again! Well, elections for some executive and policy positions in the Labour Party if you're a card carrying Party member.
The elections will be for the NEC, where the Momentum slate is:

forkboy84 posted:

and for the National Policy Forum, where the Momentum backed candidates for each region are listed here.

Welcome to the July UKMT, where it's time for the newspapers to start measuring everything in Rankine, because

The heat appears to have melted everyone's brains, as the cabinet are busy tidying up the fine details on a Brexit plan that the EU has already rejected, and Boris Johnson announces that the Convervatives are the party of gently caress business.

Summertime Blues :sax:
• A leaked report predicts shortages of food, fuel, and medicine if Britain leaves the EU without a deal.
• The government approves a plan to keep Heathrow relevant, but fails to drive over Boris Johnson.
• A study from The Mammal Society and Natural England says that almost one in five British mammals are at risk of extinction, and the remainder are at risk of David Cameron.
• The Grenfell inquiry continues along the lines of blaming firefighters for not responding correctly to the building that was illegally covered in flammable foam.
• The UN is going to investigate the impacts of Tory austerity in Britain.
• Doctors Without Borders have condemned the EU for 'deliberately condemning people to drown at sea'.
• The 'Punish A Muslim Day' dickhead is back in court about some other brain genius stunts.
• Days until Brexit

Who thought it was alright to actually give Scotland summer sun? I know we ask for it, and we go looking for it all over, but giving us anything above 25C is a massive mistake in terms of anybody being able to do anything.

Apparently it's going to rain here on Thursday, after several days of ramping humidity.

The heat will be just as bad midweek but we'll have less sun and won't be able to sweat properly either. :toot:

Does anyone else get a headache when a thunderstorm is on the way? I know some of it is selection bias but I definitely get a very specific pain between my eyes when one's on the way, which i always assumed was something to do with pressure changes.

After spending the last week hyping up their second place position as the "easy" route to the final, with beating Columbia apparently a formality, I can't wait for them to do what they always do and immediately poo poo all over the side when they lose and start searching for ways to hate Harry Kane.

Are you questioning the will of the people?

Seriously, if you have a problem with this, speak out about it. Talk to your MP, talk to the media, talk to anyone you know with some measure of influence (or, at least, anyone you know who’s good at being loud and obnoxious). This country may not be very good at being a democracy, but public apathy only makes it worse.

No. Quarter Finals. They've fallen at the last 8 6 times, they've only lost in the penalties in 1990. And the last time they made the Quarters was 2006 so it's not exactly recent.
