 What is this thing? CardLife is an online first-person survival game set in a persistent cardboard world within a Science Fantasy setting - think Dragons, Mechs, Magic, Lasers & Dinosaurs. You must survive, explore, battle, craft and build your way to greatness through four technological ages, either with your fellow players or against them. Currently the game is still work in progress and is in pre-alpha. If you would like to be part of its development you can check out the Founder’s Edition which purchases the current game and some exclusive rewards for a limited heavily discounted price point, with all future updates being received for free apart from major DLC expansion packs The game is pre-alpha!! It's also only $6, or £5. What's it about? CardLife is a bit like Minecraft. You gather resources, craft tools and weapons and build. Similarly, there are survival elements where you must search for or grow food to stay alive. A real neat little quirk to this game is that everything is made to look like cardboard. Remember building box fortresses as a kid? Well, you can do that here. Everything you craft has the possibility of being customised in the way of cutting bits out of it. Want to craft a sword? Gather the materials and craft it, then cut it out using the 'dot to dot' system to make it look the way you want it to. Want to make a window in your box fort? Cut it out! Pretty much everything can be cut and trimmed the way you want it, even you when you create your character. Is it single player or multiplayer? It's both. Goon forces unite! Mechs? Lazers?? Though not in the game *yet*, they will add them in. Remember, this game is in pre-alpha and they're still doing a lot of work on it. For the progress they've made so far, it's shaping up really well and there is constant development. From the website: We plan to offer both vehicles and creature mounts as they will be important facets to world navigation. They will also tie directly into combat and raiding other player’s bases. Vehicles will be unique in that they will allow you to transport an additional passenger while creature mounts will double as a creature companion who will aid you during battle. Both vehicles and creature mounts will offer some form of attack whilst mounted, but you will not be able to use your own weapons or abilities.  Where do I get it?
