The Ing thing speaks to three things imo: his campaign sadly never had any real momentum, Ed Case had the name recognition and money factor, and this is maybe less of a factor, that the collapse of the Hawaii Republican party probably led to an influx of conservative primary voters like in California.

I mean, frankly, 36% while being outspent 500-1 in a state whose primary economic outlet is tax evasion isn't bad, especially for a statewide office for a first time candidate against a 4 time incumbent. I'd rather the revolution happen tomorrow, certainly, if but for the sake of the planet, but I think you guys forget that the fear of the Tea Party was in the threat of a primary, not necessarily losing said primary.
