"Why do you insist on purity tests" they say, as they aggressively attempt to pin progressive candidates down on every single controversial issue possible in an attempt to break their support.

gradenko_2000 posted:the way I'd describe it is that it's like PUA for politics. Bad dems think that if they go down the right decorum conversation tree, the Republicans can be mind-controlled into signing up for bipartisan legislation Being 'bipartisan' only works if both parties have the same goals but disagree on how to reach them. The dems are somehow still convinced that is the case.

My hot take on Clinton is that she probably isn't going to run and Harris will be the standard bearer of the Neo-liberal faux progressives. But 2020 is going to be a clown car so I don't know if Harris will actually be able to stand out.

I mean, her whole thing is that corporations and rich people should actually be held accountable to the rules that exist. Not that the rules are fundamentally flawed. So this shouldn't be s surprise to anyone. She's still better than 99% of dems to even go that far.

There were no actual leftist options or even a place to put other issues. They also asked me for $27 because they aren't capable of coming up with their own ideas.
