It's for noobs so if you know easier software then post it What to use WebM: Good for longer clips (like more than a few seconds) or stuff with a lot of detail/colours/frames. Can carry audio. Use url tags to embed here Gif: not good for posting long clips from shows or high res animations because they end up really big files that can crash devices or slow poo poo down. but have their place, mainly when you need transparency or are doing a short frame-by-frame edit. witty reaction gifs or avatars. Use img or timg to embed

Make WebMs WebMCam Use this to easily capture clips from streaming content. Can capture audio, but currently if you do that you can’t also edit the frames and also it eventually loses synch after a long time. Resize the window over the stream, click record and play the stream  Stop recording, delete any frames you don’t want  Output: https://my.mixtape.moe/pqzsej.webm WebM Converter Use this on downloaded video files. It’s pretty straightforward. Make Gifs Gooncam Gifcam InstaGiffer Use to capture on-screen stuff similar to WebMCam. Gooncam doesn’t get updated anymore, rip Upload Gifs Imgur Any gif over 2MB will get converted to a gifv. This is okay, SA supports it now. In fact it's good because a 50MB gif of an entire scene is now a tenth of the size. Which I'll probably start replacing piece by piece soon, because checking the official subs against the older stuff I'm seeing that quite a bit of stuff in them is somewhat badly worded or flat out wrong. Seeing as how I often use webms of particular scenes to help show that something definitely happened or to emphasize a point I feel like I kind of have to really. Comparing this old webm of Dianna talking about Corin from the older subs https://my.mixtape.moe/ftqjwn.webm with the newer, corrected subs makes the scene come off fairly different for instance. https://my.mixtape.moe/vndxgk.webm The corrected subs make it much more explicit that Corin fought the Turn-A in the past which was really only implied before. Kihel's thoughts at the end in the official subs have her thinking about how Corin is what someone looks like after repeated cryosleep where the older subs have her think he's an example of someone who's suffered prolonged cryosleep too. Which is a small, but possibly significant difference. There's enough different I want to re-watch the show soon, though the fact Turn-A is one of my favorite shows helps. Maybe it's just me, but the variable one just seems nicer really.
