I recommend using constant bitrate

I haven't experimented much with constant versus variable, but I've just been using variable automatically after starting to use WebM for Retards. I think I did one quick test and fell down on variable. Is there any objective reasoning for why you're recommending constant or is it just your personal opinion? That said, thank you for letting me know about WebMCam. I didn't know about it at all, but it should make capturing stuff from currently airing shows like Planet With significantly easier.

I doubt most of my folder would be of much interest to most people here though, since I mostly make mecha related stuff for discussion of various shows on /m/. A lot of Gundam and Macross related webms for instance. I was looking last night, and I currently have 169 webms in my Turn-A folder. Which I'll probably start replacing piece by piece soon, because checking the official subs against the older stuff I'm seeing that quite a bit of stuff in them is somewhat badly worded or flat out wrong. Seeing as how I often use webms of particular scenes to help show that something definitely happened or to emphasize a point I feel like I kind of have to really.

Comparing this old webm of Dianna talking about Corin from the older subs

with the newer, corrected subs makes the scene come off fairly different for instance.

The corrected subs make it much more explicit that Corin fought the Turn-A in the past which was really only implied before. Kihel's thoughts at the end in the official subs have her thinking about how Corin is what someone looks like after repeated cryosleep where the older subs have her think he's an example of someone who's suffered prolonged cryosleep too. Which is a small, but possibly significant difference. There's enough different I want to re-watch the show soon, though the fact Turn-A is one of my favorite shows helps. The official subs just read better in a lot of instances too.

Plus, a constant variation of the above webm to compare against the variable one above. Maybe it's just me, but the variable one just seems nicer really.

Also, some random webms I guess.

On the other hand, the animation seems to have improved a lot since Monty Oum passed.
