 Grand Blue (or Grand Blue Dreaming) is a sports* drama* romance* comedy manga about a diving shop called Grand Blue and the colorful people that inhabit it. The anime started on the 13th of July, so it's the right time for a thread! Tell me more! Kitahara Iori is moving in with his uncle and his two girl cousins at a lovely seaside town, and he's starting his first year of college... but suddenly, he's roped in by a bunch of strange men into joining the diving club "Peek-A-Boo"! There's just one problem, Iori can't swim, so he doesn't see himself as a diver. His life is quickly spiraling into endless shenanigans!  This looks horribly generic! Well gently caress you, this ain't YOUR MAMA'S sports* drama* romance* comedy Oh. And it has some great reaction faces.   Grand Blue airs on Fridays! *: The series may feature slight elements of these genres from time to time. Nevertheless, this is a diving anime.

i watched like 10 different college comedies about levels of drinking you should never emulate, while in college, surrounded by hard liquor, but i lived this is like that but one of the chars is a perverted otaku. nice

So hey, the first episode was funny and I liked Baka to Test, but how much weird cousin bullshit is in this? Because skimming the wikia, uh, it sounds like more than a little bit.

None at all really. Incredibly mild spoils: Chisa is clearly being set up as the main romantic interest but as of being current with the comic nothings really happened yet. The romantic subplots are very mild and dont advance often, theyre generally limited to "Hey, I like that guy" and setting up some Threes Company poo poo. Its mostly a series about hanging out with your buddies in college

Show is good. Animation isn't perfect, but its getting most of the comedic beats well enough and that's what matters. This latest episode has been the best so far, I think. Hope next week's surpasses it.
