the 6g x1 carbon only has usb-c for charging, and has two of those ports on the left, and everything is set up for a dock like: http://www.beezmo.com/geezblog/?attachment_id=1641 typing this from one of those docks, and it works really well, and comes with a 135W power cord that uses both usb-c ports to charge ignore the fact that page is for a x280, the left side usb-c and ethernet dongle connectors are more or less standard across different kinds of thinkpad now, and that docking station works for multiple laptops

My t420 could barely run Rainbow Six Vegas 2 even though it had an i7 and NVidia GPU, but on this T25 I am running Tomb Raider (yes I know it's a couple years old) at 60fps 1080p with details set to high. I thought this was gonna be a POS for games because it's only a dual core 7th gen processor but I am really pleased with it. I could have went for the T480 since it's quad core but it's a lot more expensive than the T25 and the keyboard isn't as good

I have 10 broken t20 series thinkboys in the mail waiting for me when I get home from work. Im going to mutilate and splice them until they are as unrecognizable as my t42s. That looks pretty nice op, too bad I refuse to spend over 15 dollars on a laptop.

My T61 turns ten years old in November. It shipped with Vista, spent a long time on W7-32 and once I get a cheapish 1TB SSD will be reborn to W10. The C2D proc is pretty slow but I need it for Chrome, RDP and Winamp. Works for me.

at this house I have 5. they’re all busted in some way except one (mostly dead batteries), & I used to cannibalize them for parts. bought for between $20-$60 cad for x61t, x200t, t60. I should fix them up and rid myself of most of them. my friends work is cycling thru models so I might end up with some t560s or some other model, not sure. the thinkpad curse

I had a coworker who was supposed to get a new laptop from IT and they kept loving up his order one way or another and after like 7 months of loving back & forth the VP finally just went down to IT and threw a fit and told them to just buy him a loving laptop and so they went out and bought him the most expensive possible thinkpad and it was this one and it had a built-in wacom tablet and all kinds of ridiculous poo poo and the guy hated it but couldn't say anything about it cause there was already so much drama anyway, put an ssd in a T420s and you got a great laptop. nice matte screen, great keyboard, still a dual core so its fine for just doin whatever. Mine still runs great. Replaced the keyboard & battery a few years ago. poo poo won't ever die.
