First time playing Eve for me since 2016 yesterday. Remembered a few of the basics, but was otherwise as confused as when playing Amazing Cultivation Simulator. Couple of fine folks threw a billion isk my way so I could buy some ships outside of the trusty Crusader I found in Kehrara (?) before going on a cannonball run to 1DQ. First fleet Vee invited me into was an Osprey fleet to the hostile staging system next door. My only source of dps was my drones, which I immediately lost to a bombing run. Hostiles were forming up a fleet to deal with our little 15 man capchained fleet that we waited for, but after 20 minutes of waiting, it appeared that they were re-shipping to bombers to deal with a tackled super somewhere, so we went back to 1DQ. Turns out we didn't make the connection that the super wasn't tackled somewhere, but in 1DQ, so we immediately hopped into harpies (and I into my trusty Crusader ) and started killing countless bombers.Got like 14 pods and a couple of bombers myself. Later, we hopped into Jackdaws, jumped next door for some fights, got them, lacked dps, lost Vee, and went back home. I even bumblefucked my way onto Vee's killmail a couple of minutes before he died, and I guess the timer hadn't expired. https://zkillboard.com/kill/89101866/ Last, an Ares fleet ("Dramafleet" doctrine?) was on the menu, and we dived in on a couple of kills around a Citadel in Querious, including one of Vily's alts. Ended the evening by shooting the poo poo on comms over past EG stupidity, meets, the Paris meet, and so on. Fun welcome back to this dumb game. No idea what all the drama is about.

Woke up, logged in, joined fleet, bought Rokh, bridged to M2, accidentally clicked what I thought was my MWD but was actually an MJD apparently, landed 13km next to our FC, anchored, shot targets, started cooking breakfast. Got on 5 Nightmare kills so far, and now we're chewing through Claymores. Marine is a chill FC

Trip-report of this magnificent shitshow: It took an eternity in tidi to even get outside our blob and bubbles on the Keepstar after bridging in, warped to a wreck broadcasted by the FC, got yellowboxed almost immediately (accounting for tidi) after landing, dived into the middle of the enemy blob, started taking small amounts of damage from what I assume was smartbombs, dumped my first load of bubbles on the way out to the other side that was mostly clear of bubbles, took two HUGE hits from anti-support poo poo and figured that was it for me. Tried to keep my distance from the anti-support stuff yellowboxing me, motored around the outskirts of the blob while on reload, speared through the blob again when the FC said so, went down to about 1% shield, somehow made it out to the other side again, rinse and repeat. Got about 15 bubbles off while somehow managing to stay alive over the course of three and a half hours, which is absolutely loving mindblowing to me. 6/10 would bubble again and try to lose my sabre harder while not forgetting to actually shoot the titans I had locked up despite having my guns ungrouped like a greedy rear end in a top hat
