didn't two separate people buy the rights to it and they both did their own versions of Darkfall, splitting the already tiny fanbase? also they're going to show off New World on the PC gaming show soon, im sure its going to be groundbreaking

my favorite thing in an MMO was loving with afkers too I used to play Mortal Online and the 'premier' launch clan for it would go to Gaul' Kor (a lawless mining town) and AFK macro mine I didn't even actually kill them. I'd stand in front of them, and shove them once away from the wall, and they'd spend the rest of their AFK time mining the air

FFXIV is great because you'll see lots of new faces doing dailies while you are running dungeona and if you are a healer you basically instant skip through the queue

Animal Crossing multiplayer was DOA for me just because every time anyone joined it put everyone in like a 30-45 second unskippable cutscene, and same when they left

well some goons harbored a pedo who groomed an icelandic teenager (and had a boat with a pedobear sail and the boat was named Icelandic Teenager iirc) there were fishing pacts that caused goons to PvP each other they started selling something that essentially gave you the most prized crafting thing in the game at that time (thunderstuck logs) hackers grabbed land and the company did nothing you could basically just go outside the world and plant hundreds of trees guaranteeing you thunderstruck logs

The game on launch is legit one of the coolest MMOs I ever played. It had all kinds of fun and interesting stuff for PvPers, crafters, griefers, there was a social aspect, trading, etc. I had one of 4 houses on Freedich because I planned out my route in beta got enough gilda, and spammed my glider through the ocean all the way out to Freedich. I then stealthed stage packs onto my house and turned them in when it was 100% safe and got myself a trade ship nearly solo. Archeage 2 will probably have a bunch of stupid pay to win poo poo baked into it, but I'm going to keep an eye on it.

mortal online was perhaps the best MMO experience ive ever had and i met lots of long time friends from it I own MO2 and its fun to run around in but there isnot al ot to do yet I remember on launch everyone spawned at the bottom of a lake so deep that you would drown by the time you could get up for air, causing your naked body to ragdoll and your dick to flop around in the lake, and eventually there would be so many ragdolls that the server would crash and then be brought up to do it all over again the lake is still known as Sausage Lake
