it's interesting to me that Sony has resisted doing any kind of VR-tie ins to their big first party games. I would have assumed we'd get Aloy's Longbow Training or Uncharted VR by now. But they've pretty much kept it seperate, which is weird because the VIta and PSP got a lot of gaiden games.

swimsuit posted:im finally getting a ps4, op Bloodborne is awesome so definitely get it first. I think the DLC is on sale at the moment. I really loved Horizon, some people are more lukewarm. I can concede that it's basically a standard open world game with too many icons, but it does have great graphics and a cool story. The robot animals are dope and I loved fighting them. God of War is solid. Spider-Man is good, but like Horizon, it's basically a standard third-person open world game so you might be tired of that. The biggest strength is how loving fun web-slinging around NYC is. The rest is good/great, especially if you like comics or movies. It's getting DLC so you can probably wait for a bundle. NieR: Automata and the Yakuza games are great if you haven't played them on PC yet. They're slightly strange, story-driven, very Japanese games that really, really pay off if you stick with them. If you do try Yakuza, start with Yakuza 0. Until Dawn is fun if you want something short. It's like a Telltale game, but more polished and with more consequences. Basically a playable slasher movie, and it's cheap now. Shadow of the Colossus remake is loving gorgeous. The gameplay is the same as the PS2, but it looks brand new. I think the game itself holds up well. The Last Guardian is worth investigating if you're okay with stuff that's weird and obtuse, and you like Shadow of the Colossus. Very much an upgraded PS3 game, but it tries really hard. That's like everything I've played. You've got a lot to look forward to!

fume knight gave me so much trouble. the only way I managed to beat him was by wearing Velstadt's hat so he immediately started in phase 2. For whatever reason, it was easier than managing the switch.

to me it feels like a random PSN sale got dumped on a console. like you'd scroll through the shop, you already own MGS1, on page 3 you see "oh the original Rainbow 6 on PS1 is on sale for $1.60" and keep scrolling.

the American government was able to locate Greg Smith, who was a former Regional Manager in Gamestop's South Dakota region, and Johnson's direct supervisor during the war. After a direct appeal from the 62-year-old Smith, Johnson finally left his post as the last holdout in a war that had been over for twenty years. He presented his supervisor with his Destiny 1 lanyard, his Last of Us enamel pin set, and his Assassin's Creed Ezio Civilian Attire Funko Pop, all in working condition.

https://www.destructoid.com/playstation-vita-still-exists-in-the-the-last-of-us-part-ii-592296.phtmlquote:However, in an eight-minute extended sequence, we got confirmation that the PlayStation Vita is still alive and well in The Last of Us' world -- even if the rest of civilization isn't. Ellie sneaks up on a woman who's playing her Vita and, after forcing some intel out of her, sticks a knife in her neck. The last game that woman ever played? Hotline Miami. quote:As for the rest of the video, well, it's brutal. Ellie lights a dog on fire and it makes the most tortured yelp. Then she smacks someone in the face with a spiked club. It goes on like that until Ellie finally finds who she's looking for. The Last of Us Part II is already a frontrunner for 2020's Feel-Bad Game of the Year.

so Jim Ryan pulls into work. He looks up and he sees birdshit all over the building. He's apoplectic. Throws his latte on the ground. His assistant can see the steam rising from his head. The assistant says: "I'm so sorry about the birdshit, sir. We'll get the windows cleaned up right away." Jim Ryan takes a breath and he turns to his assistant. He yells "birdshit? BIRDSHIT? YOU THINK I GIVE A gently caress ABOUT AVIAN FECES? YOU THINK I CARE ABOUT THESE GLASS WINDOWS?" His assistant takes a step back. "Well, what's the problem, sir?" A bead of sweat runs down Ryan's face. He whispers, "the public gets one look at this, and they'll think we're making another God of War Ragnarok"
