Problem description: As of this morning getting terrible pausing/stuttering doing basic tasks like clicking a new tab open in Firefox or opening the Start Menu. Basically anytime I do anything it pauses for a second or two before executing the action.

Attempted fixes: I ran Samsung Magician and Crystal Disk and they both report Good on my SSD health. I've looked in hardware monitor to see if anything looks strange (I'm not an expert but nothing is spiking to 100% or anything.)

Recent changes: Yesterday I updated nVidia drivers to the latest and 2 days ago I switched VPNs from VyprVPN to NordVPN.

As an update: I used “Reset this PC” which reinstalled windows while keeping my personal files and it seems to have fixed it. Closing the thread and if it starts to happen again I’ll reopen.
