One of the funniest parts of the norse mythology is when Thor is afraid he's gonna look unmanly when he disguises himself as Freya in order to get his hammer back and Loki just rolls his eyes:

The honest truth is that that is incredibly common in most segments of geek culture. Sexualizing teenage girls has been a comic staple for a long time and honestly it still shows up super frequently. It's not uncommon in movies or television shows (though at least there they are primarily actors over age) and of course with anime (and video games) 8 out of every 10 characters is a teenager.

It just gets kind of written off with "they're not real" and a lot of people are so used to it they don't even think about it.

Case in point, this character is supposed to be fourteen years old:

I don't really agree. The only pre-Rock one I'd say isn't even really entertaining is 2F2F. Tokyo Drift is at least fun, if bad, and the first is an okay action movie, if of its time. F4 is good, though it's definitely a transitory movie into what the series becomes.

The first ones doesn't seem to realize how silly they are and tries to be somewhat realistic. Then the Rock joins and they finally embrace the silliness and they becomes violent car-toons.

I mean there's a big ol' difference between "Real actual human Muslim does this poo poo IRL" and "fictional Muslim written by a non-Muslim does this in a story."

One is a human being with agency, the other is being dictated entirely by someone else.

Sort of like how there are definitely women with big tiddies who wear (or at one time wore) 90s crop top baby doll tees and low-rise jeans and thongs, but you still have a point if you side-eye an artist for making that a character design.

I think it's a huge difference between writing female characters who's defining traits are her boobs and writing a muslim character that doesn't follow every religious rule.
