real talk enya's album watermark is tied with beatles, pink floyds the wall, and various motown musics with some of the first music i remember in my life when i was probably 5 i remember having a very elaborate story to go along with track 2, cursum perficio basically when the chorus is singing, becauyse the4 yare kind of stoccato and minor key sounding, my 5 year old self believed that was some evil sorcerer who had trapped some lady in a storm/wave-racked island tower... approaching the island was difficult because of big waves and storms the interludes where enya sings more calmly was the trapped lady singing please come help me then the second half of the song takes on a very different character and i recall thinking this was wwhere the lady has escaped and also taken command of a ship because she's badass and cool. i think my reason for ths was that the words (in latin probably) include something athat sounds like "skippy-ip" and i knew skipper meant captain of a ship and so ithought that enya had taken command of a ship like a fukken boss that is my 5 year old alnilam story about track 2 of enya's breakthrough album watermark, thank you
