The fracking ban bill was stupid, especially if you drive a car that uses gas.

I'd be curious to know what it costs to construct an autoclave that large

I can't speak to the smart home thing (gently caress that, cops are already subpoenaing Alexa records), but I have Blink and Wyze cameras and the Wyze cameras are better while being WAY cheaper. The only issue would be if you need a waterproof camera, because only Blink makes those. In other news, I'm getting ready to make ribs again and I just remembered I never cleaned the water pan in my smoker after making ribs for the 4th of July. I haven't looked at yet, but I'm scared.

This is probably like asking what's the one true religion, but I need a corn bread recipe and my friends from the south insist you can't use sugar, and all the recipes I see online have sugar in them. Thoughts and/or recipes? My friend who makes very good corn bread but is from California uses sugar, but it tastes good so I may just use his recipe.

Not actually serving it to southerners, but I prefer savory to sweet so I'm wondering if I'll be blown away by sugar free corn bread. That serious eats brown butter recipe sounds pretty good though, I may just do that.

STR posted:If only it was a bit cheaper (and could be here in time for my flight Friday), I'd buy that for myself. I got poo poo in 2011 for having "too many books" in my backpack as I boarded a flight to London, where I was going to be living for the next two months. I almost missed my flight until the TSA supervisor told the rest of the mouth breathers to let me catch my flight, and this is after they repeatedly used the explosive test strips on my backpack but never actually opened the goddam backpack and took everything out. I think a PornHub backpack for flying would either blow their minds to the point of breaking them, or more likely have them assume there's no way you could be a terrorist with such an obnoxious backpack.

Haven’t caught anybody. I saw that, the size of the concrete was big enough that anyone doing it should have realized they were attempting (and committing) murder. I mean, a rock sized piece alone could kill, but this was obviously going to serious mess up the car/and or person.

I would love to know why MMS on Fi works sometimes when I'm connected to my work's wi-fi, always on my home wi-fi, but if a pic won't send on my work wi-fi, I can just disconnect the wi-fi and it will go through no problem. I had a theory involving SSL certificates but that wouldn't explain why it works sometimes.

I thought that project fi (now google fi I guess) vpn was automatically on, but it wasn't. Enabled that, which also turned on the use cellular data when wi-fi sucks option, which is great because my gym has the world's shittiest wi-fi and it's easier to just use cellular data. Re: SSL inspection, that's what I was thinking, but I work at a very small office and current wi-fi setup is just what I told the paralegal to setup (Ubiquiti amplifi + mesh point). I don't think amplifi is doing anything crazy by default, although I'm not sure about our separate firewall and officer router, I should look into that. I still don't get why that would work some times and not others.

I wish there was One Weird Trick (TM) or product I could purchase to instantly make organizing my garage easy. I'm going to take time off of work between xmas and new years to get it cleaned up, but it's one of those things where I have so much poo poo in there I really need to pull lots of things out to make room to organize it properly (moved from a place with a huge garage to a place with a small garage). I have some built in cabinets right now, but I think what I really need are more storage units to hold random items. I have some plastic dresser things which I hate because they don't open and close well when you have items in them. I guess multiple harbor freight tool carts would help, but it's kind of a pricey solution.

cakesmith handyman posted:The one weird trick is that you could probably chuck 3/4 of the contents of the average persons garage and they'd never miss it. I feel called out (this is actually the answer). I think I'll throw away as much as possible and then see what I'm left with, then figure out how to organize that. The good news is whenever I move to a place with a bigger garage I'll have tons of room and it won't be instantly filled. Maybe I could even fit a car in there!
