Also they make coloured paint so you can tell where you have painted, but doesn't make that much of a difference when the old stuff is yellowed from age. Wall paint doesn't matter so much, the real time is the prep/cleanup. Of course, more money you spend, the easier it goes on. Even if they say you only need 1 coat, put two. The really cheap paint you need 4 coats to cover up old colours. Do spend a lot on your rollers and brushes. That will make the biggest difference.
