Sorry for not posting photos yet - I'm going out of town in the AM and won't be back until next week. My Santa did reach out to me and let me know everything was sent (just right up at the deadline), and stuff has started trickling in.

According to USPS my Santee has told them to hold the package. So there's a package being held for you.

Received! Read your postal woes. It arrived yesterday after the hold.

I was impressed by the letter before I even began unboxing. My wife was laughing at the shop towels.

Thumb for that Craigslist feel!

I haven't gotten to the first two and the Coffee Crisp was gone in a flash. Delicious!

The name on the packaging reflects my checkbook regarding my 260z project.

Perhaps before I'm 50 I'll get to it.

I pulled out this thing without reading about it and thought this thing must be a blow through.

Interesting piece. My wife laughed her rear end off at the throwaway part in the letter.

This will haunt my work desk and curse my enemies for years to come.

Thank you for "returning" it to me.

Will take your advice and give it to my daughter to see what she can do with it. When she gets stuck I show her how to backtrack and fix forward.

I think post may have gone through it then because that's not how it arrived. Shop towels were completely separate and just wadded in a corner.

The largess in the land.
A suspicious package arrived the other day... let's see what's inside.

An hilarious card!

And stickers!

And a ton of individually wrapped presents!

All spread out over my carpet (that I really need to vacuum...):

Not entirely sure what all the "random and maybe useful things" are yet. There's a battery terminal, a grease gun hose, some relays, an impact socket, and Subaru exhaust manifold studs--those'll be useful this summer when I'm working on my Baja; not sure what the denso stuff is nor what the audio? thingy is in with the distributor cap uh... cap? but I bet I'll find a use for them eventually. I know these are the nicest pliers I've ever owned and the screwdriver is hilariously long. I'm gonna hang the bowtie, impala, and calendar in my workshop. And the RX-7 has joined its friends on the hotwheels shelf.

Thanks so much!

Babby's first... bank robbery + fire rear end kit!

Oh I see what you did here. Cock sauce. :smuggo: (this stuff is seriously good though, and I ran out recently.. you saved me a trip to H-Mart!)

GIMME ALL DA MONEY OR I'LL THROW COCK SAUCE IN YER FACE

Seriously though, I've been putting off getting gloves forever, and these fit/feel great - should be handy for (a) wrenching and (b) grabbing the steering wheel in my black on black with a built in death ray sunroof car when it's 110 outside. According to the packaging, the headwear can be used as a moisture-wicking sweatband (loving awesome with the heat we have here! and also seems to be able to contain my hair when used that way), and the beanie will come in handy whenever winter finally gets here if we ever see winter again (gonna keep it in the car for those lonely late night flat tire changes). Never seen a beanie with a built-in headlamp, pretty cool, and I can even use it for work (handy for those assholes who don't leave their porch lights on, easier than breaking out the 2D LED flashlight).

Thanks Safety Dance! I can definitely put all of this to good use.

edited to add: half of this stuff arrived right at Christmas, but Safety Dance sent me a PM (a) revealing himself and (b) letting me know there was more coming, just delayed because he'd been out of the country. I held off on posting pics until everything showed up. The rest has been sitting at the PO for a week according to tracking, I've just been too sick to get over there (that, and my informed delivery emails for my PO box stopped for some reason :argh:).

It definitely feels like it's very well made. I have a feeling I'm gonna use it on a daily basis in the summer, though more as a sweatband (one of many uses shown on the packaging). The Ion doesn't have great AC to begin with... and when you combine black body + black interior and delivery use, it's pretty miserable unless you're at highway speeds for extended periods (system holds a total of 16 oz of R-134a, with a fairly large condenser, which means the evaporator is probably tiny... so that shouldn't be a huge surprise). I sweat like a pig when it's hot, so it'll be very welcome relief vs wearing a hat.

Second Package has arrived! I repeat, Second Package has arrived!

OH MY IT'S :perfect:

iForge you really knocked it out of the park with this. Like HOLY poo poo THIS IS AWESOME.

First the package has to get through the customs inspection

A heartfelt note was included. Not sure why USPS failed, would the shutdown maybe be an influence? In any case FedEx got it here in one piece... barely.

Oh man, this has everything! Bits and bobs, A loving MASERATI BI-TURBO valve cover, awesome wrenches, STICKERS, and premium pornography. The bottle opener will be used shortly to crack open a cold brew to start off the weekend and the rags will be very useful for garage adventures. The brass pipe bit, it really reminds me of some of the refrigeration expansion valves I deal with but obviously missing the valve mechanism, what is that? Am I close? I believe the pipe cleaner can double as a battery terminal cleaner as well,

:swoon:

The valve cover got a quick clean to help the lettering pop out and I think I found a great place to display it

It actually took 3 tries to ship that package, I am so sorry it took so long. The first was a failure by USPS, the second time it sat at a 3rd party shipping company slated for fedex shipping until they called me a week later to tell me they couldn't ship it Fedex for an unknown reason but could do it DHL for double the cost, so I took it to Fedex directly and finally got it to you. I will skip the middlemen from now on and go to fedex directly next year for international shipping. The brass piece is a strainer for hydronic systems but I use them for oil more than anything, the sockets on it will take a standard 1/2" copper pipe. The pipe cleaner is a regular battery post/clamp cleaner. I do not know what Fedex did, but that is not the box that I shipped the items in, though nothing is missing. I am glad it all came to you intact, though inexcusably late. Merry Christmas!

I.... still haven't sent the forgotten part of shy boy from chess club's gift. :suicide:

I spaced out when I packed his stuff up, and forgot to send the flashlight that was on the list. I'm very tempted to just have Amazon send another one; they're pretty affordable for 400 lumen flashlights (Anker, even - and a 2 pack is 1 cent more than a single!).

In fact, gently caress it, fake edit, I'll do that when I get paid on Thursday. I've been carrying around the one I was gonna ship him, and damnit, it's a lot more useful than the 2D 400 lumen flashlight I normally use for work! I was gonna try and send another license plate with it (since I have an early 90s, a mid 00s, and a modern plate sitting here, all TX), but he got the rarest modern plate as it is (issued less than 2 years in the mid 90s; it was on my second 1988 Accord when I bought it).

Still can't believe I left it sitting on my desk. It was listed on the packing list. I didn't even realize it didn't make it until he posted unboxing photos and I didn't see it.... that's when I spotted the drat thing sitting next to my keyboard. :fuckoff:
