I have a problem with ranch. Ranch dressing, or at least ranch flavored dipping sauces, seem to be REALLY GOOD or at least pretty good at almost ANY RESTAURANT, fast food or not. But anytime I get a bottle of ranch from the store or amazon or whatever it just doesn't taste loving good. Its like an old ranch taste left open overnight with like windex mixed in. There has to be a better way. I almost googled it when I realized I'm a private member of an internet forum who's other members would most certainly know which ranch to buy to dip entire slices of pizza into. So who's been through the gauntlet to let me and anybody else know whats actually worth buying? I'm with you OP and looked for recipes for homemade ranch today that would match the good poo poo at restaurants. I'll let you know how it turns out when I get some mayo.

I have noticed this too. No lie - Great Value Ranch is one of the better bottled ranch dressings on the market last I tried it

The answer is hidden valley mix packet. You can do it yourself with recipes online with spices from the cabinet but it’s not great unless you let it sit a day to soften the freeze dried chives
