in your first boxing glass you learn step out to widen your stance then step in with your other foot, philosophy being you're not narrowing your stance by bringing your feet closer together.

chuck was doing the opposite the entire fight

If nothing else, this shines a spotlight on what a crazy outlier Couture was as an old man fighter.

That was honestly sadder than any of the poo poo Scott Coker's been doing for years in Bellator, including the Kimbo fight where the guy actually died in the cage

Of all the guys who were going to have late career renaissances, it was never going to be Chuck. The dude was never a great striker, he was bullshit tough and could knock people out from weird angles. It's not a style that lends itself to aging well.

Somehow sadder than I thought it could have been.
Chuck got dropped/fell over comitting to his first combo then reset, Tito realizing finally Chuck had nothing for him marched him down and ko'd him with a straight right on the back of a 1-2 and landed two or three unneccesary shots nefore the ref could get in

IIRC it was something like $200,000 plus a big percentage of the PPV take, which will leave Chuck owing Oscar something like $1,900,000.
