somewhere, a tear comes to john hackleman's eye was it as sad as i feared?
|
# ? Nov 25, 2018 06:15 |

more tragic: all of Chuck in that fight, or Tito celebrating that like it was the crowning achievement of his life?

i knew what i signed up for when i started watching this but still

i'm the seven people chanting "tito! tito!" for approx 7 seconds
|
# ? Nov 25, 2018 06:15 |

That's nothing to be proud of, Tito.
|
# ? Nov 25, 2018 06:15 |

Incredible how proud Tito is of being a part of this

# ? Nov 25, 2018 06:15 |
Time for Tito to call out Forrest.

That was some of the worst footwork I think I've ever seen

Sad to see chuck like this

Everyone involved with putting this fight together should be embarrassed lol

Tito is going to be more insufferable after this now.

Well I hope chuck got enough money for this that he can retire in peace and comfort

I love that they're showing a slowmo replay of the CSAC guys trying to interrupt his burial celebration.

Its funny to watch Tito thrashing against officials doing his celebration like a demented old man.

Stealth Tiger posted:That was some of the worst footwork I think I've ever seen in your first boxing glass you learn step out to widen your stance then step in with your other foot, philosophy being you're not narrowing your stance by bringing your feet closer together. chuck was doing the opposite the entire fight

If nothing else, this shines a spotlight on what a crazy outlier Couture was as an old man fighter.
|
# ? Nov 25, 2018 06:17 |

That was honestly sadder than any of the poo poo Scott Coker's been doing for years in Bellator, including the Kimbo fight where the guy actually died in the cage

Of all the guys who were going to have late career renaissances, it was never going to be Chuck. The dude was never a great striker, he was bullshit tough and could knock people out from weird angles. It's not a style that lends itself to aging well.NObodyNOWHERE posted:If nothing else, this shines a spotlight on what a crazy outlier Couture was as an old man fighter. He was on a shitload of test.

Wise Learned Man posted:somewhere, a tear comes to john hackleman's eye Somehow sadder than I thought it could have been. Chuck got dropped/fell over comitting to his first combo then reset, Tito realizing finally Chuck had nothing for him marched him down and ko'd him with a straight right on the back of a 1-2 and landed two or three unneccesary shots nefore the ref could get in

Tito was playing with Chuck so much that Chuck almost won the first round despite being completely broken down and outclasses in every single way.

Close your eyes and listen to the voice and that was Stipe's speech after being knocked out too lol "I dunno. I went out there and I got caught. I dunno." "9 times out of 10 I win that fight"
