Is this poo poo reflexive for you or do you really think this is acceptable/defensible policy?

I'm furious about our immigration policy. It's racist, horrifying, and we were literally putting children in internment camps. I'm sure we still are. This poo poo has killed people and should be condemned from the rooftops by the whole loving world. It's a crime against human decency and we should be welcoming immigrants with open arms by the boatload because they work harder, commit fewer crimes, and make this country the economic and scientific juggernaut - and because it's right! What we're doing is not okay, and yes, the fact that this is what we're doing makes me angry because it goes against everything our nation should be - against everything ever nation should be.

There's enough to criticize without implying that we're tattooing people's arms. That's it.

Glad people like you are here to actively distinguish between USA in 2018 and Nazi Germany.

This isn’t necessarily good news. They might be able to convict a cop of manslaughter because it’s way easier to prove than Murder in this case. Juries are (thought to be at least) hesitant to convict cops of the most serious crimes. Charging her with murder probably made it easier to beat the rap.

Uhhh the grand jury made the decision?

The DA files the charges, and decides what the charge is. Not the Grand Jury. And a Grand Jury win doesn’t mean poo poo really since they only see and hear what the DA has to say and show. They have a 95%+ win rate at the Grand Jury in a lot of jurisdictions. Also in some jurisdictions the accused has the right to appear before the Grand Jury.

"I truly believe that she inflicted tremendous evil on my son," Jean's mother, Allison Jean, said to reporters on Wednesday. "From the very start, I knew that she murdered him. I was not satisfied at the manslaughter charge. I look forward to the next step, which is a conviction of murder of Amber Guyger. And more so, of a penalty, the proper penalty that will cause her to reflect on what she has done and the pain that she has caused not only [to] my son, but my family, my church, my country."

Do you think the DA got the parents in on this dastardly plot to bring a more serious charge in order to get the officer off scott free? How insidious!

Appealing to the family's emotions while coming up with a charge that's impossible to prove seems like win-win for a DA to me

Sure is impossible to prove that someone who broke into another person's apartment and shot them to death committed murder.

A cop murdered Philando Castile after he stated he had a legally concealed firearm and made no threatening move yet the jury couldn’t even find enough reason to charge him with manslaughter. Pardon me for being skeptical.

You're the opposite of skeptical. You are attributing the more aggrivated charge as some kind of calculated effort to see the cop bear no consequence for their actions as opposed to the proper charge for what occurred.

People were pissed when the cop was (incorrectly) charged with manslaughter. Not they're pissed at the correct charge is being filled. A jury trial is always something of a coin flip - let's not attribute these decisions to malice unnecessary

But sure, y'all keep proselytizing someone who doesn't even have a 4th grade social studies understanding of the position she was elected for. Please

lol you are complaining about a congressperson communicating the frustrations of her constituency and then calling her stupid. That's some primo retardation. She ran on the position of medicare for all, this is her following through. Please

During WWI the generals were moaning about the state of the cannon fodder being sent to them which brought about free school meals and free milk for primary school kids.

Watch a few WWI news reels from Britain. The average height of the common soldier was 5' 3", emaciated and really bad teeth. Officers, drawn exclusively from the gentry were 5'6".

Socialism brought about to feed the war mill.

Union threats during WWII are responsible for a number of labor concessions in the United States that are still enjoyed by workers today. It's almost like the rich refuse to make concessions unless they think they themselves are in jeopardy!
