I have no holiday money, school is difficult, my parents have disowned me, I can't numb my boredom at night with alcohol, and my peenor doesn't really work anymore (and likely never will again). Nah that was last month, let December blossom into it's own mix of gently caress Yeah, Awesome! and gently caress 2018 events. Also don't know if I said it but neighbor is going to rehab and most likely moving out and back in with parents, which in itself can be a good thing if things were really where they appeared to be.

Wall anchor chat: the aluminum screw anchors that mushroom out are a pain in the rear end to remove unless you’re sure that you leave it not completely compressed so you can back it out when you want to move things. Usually removal = dry wall spackle + texture and paint match. My grandpa was a huge fan of those and after he passed away and the house was being sold we had the pleasure of patching 3/4 of the anchor holes, we were lucky and could back out the other 1/4.

My sister took on a roommate shortly after buying her house who was messed up with pills. It was rough on everybody and I think that girl eventually went back to her parents.

Welp. My wife's aunt had to put her dog down. She's basically intellectually disabled and that dog is her life. Like, she believes it's her mother / embodies her mom's spirit or her mom sent it or all three. So, yeah. December is off to a poo poo start.

Only good thing about December is the days start getting longer in 3 weeks. The most reliable stud finder I've used has been half a dozen neodymium magnets. I just wave some around on the wall until they stick to something and then repeat above and below the one that stuck. It doesn't take very long to create a line of magnets showing where the drywall got nailed or screwed to the stud.

Yeah, that's what I did. Have to turn on advanced user to add a rule, but it keeps it when you uncheck advanced user afterwards (because I don't want to deal with manually setting everything else anyway)
