Romo is hall of very good QB. Probably could have been on a superbowl winning team but he wasnt a force of nature that could make a team a superbowl winner.

I'd argue Corey Davis, Mike Williams, and Fuller also all are quality so far. Neither Davis or Williams quite lived up to being top 7 picks so far, but solid starting WR2s at least for sure. I don't know about other positions, but a hit rate of like 50% or whatever of "first round WR becoming a long term NFL starter" doesn't seem catastrophic.

Iirc only linebackers and offensive lineman have a better first round hit rate than WRs.

Carr is a poor mans Alex Smith. Dink and dunk passer who is terrified of the pass rush and can’t make any plays outside of structure. Alex didn’t weep on the field though, even when his leg broke in half

He had the yips for a good chunk of last season but he came on toward the back end. He can definitely be a successful QB if he's given at least some form of aid from his supporting cast.

This is probably wishful thinking as a Bills fan, but my batty prediction is the opposite: three QBs in the top 10.

It'll be like when Ponder went top 15. people will poo poo themselves and take QBs early. Happens all the time.

My favourite are the wtf?!? picks in the first round.

I still maintain the Ponder pick wasn't that insane. He had a good bounce back senior year from his shoulder injury and had 5 star recruit pedigree.

Part of me wants to give every QB a chance but then another part realizes that the only ones who seem to be guarantees are guys who are undoubtedly top 10 selection locks and spending a pick outside of that makes no sense. I even tend to dislike teams that reach for QBs in the 3rd and 4th rounds over the ones that reach for them in the first. It feels like a ton of teams waste those top 150 picks rather than just signing a backup.

I was super low on Ponder.
