I'm feeling a little less of that crazy unmoored sadness. I'm not used to feeling so at sea. The logistics of the wake and the services and the funeral help in the short term. And I have so much family. I'll be okay.

I'm waiting until after Christmas to tell Boy-Pepper.

Also I'm making an instant pot farro risotto as a side. More people are coming for Christmas because now everyone is in town i wonder why

The prime rib roast is in the fridge salted down and getting that dry exterior that is going to be amazing when I blast it with heat at the end. Concrete plans to focus on are very helpful!
