5. And what the hell, keep Exceptional X-Men going another year somehow.

No, but gently caress I got pretty close.
Yes, just need to save up to get the kitchen and bathroom done.

May as well keep the resolutions going.

  1. Continue sculpting and release at least one miniature for sale this year.
  2. Post up playtest rules for my skirmish game and get player feedback.
  3. Finish a table’s worth of terrain.
  4. Get our fearful terrier to let me take her to a training class.
  5. Start up a campaign and play at least six sessions.

I think I can manage these.

  1. If limited releases count, then I actually did this?
  2. Got feedback, edited it, spun off systems, and getting ready to hit local conventions after more playtesting.
  3. Nothing finished. I have “terrain” but barely painted any.
  4. Terrier is much less scared of me. No classes, but trained her to grab her harness, so maybe partial success?
  5. Complete failure.

Mixed, I suppose?

I managed all but 2 and 4, so 2/3 ain't bad (beyond the bit about depression). In particular I've enjoyed running Iron Kingdoms for around six months, and figuring out how to ruthlessly steal from the wargames in the process. If anyone posts that for F&F I'll put up my notes on the subject.

I don't think I have any specific goals right now that are tradgames related. I'm pretty happy with how my tradgames life is shaped right now, and whilst I have some ideas, they're not firm or guaranteed enough to be resolutions.

Except maybe for running or playing in an RPG that isn't D&D, PF, Shadowrun, or a LARP sometime this year, but it's not like I care much if I don't, so...

I'm about 50:50 on the main two. I've done more cool things, but being nicer to myself in a year when I was made redundant twice and was unemployed for 9 months or so was t o u g h.

I started LARPing last year, but I've carried on heartily this year and I'm enjoying it a lot.

4) Learn Te Reo Maori enough that I can hold a basic conversation.

5) Finish this year of post grad, and maintain the A roll I'm on so I qualify for my Bachelor with Honors.

6) Teach my youngest Chess so I have a whole family to beat.

7) Still lose dat 25kg

1) Finished this! Halfway through Act 2 now!
2) Finished this mostly, we completed the main campaign but havent done all the side stuff. That's good enough for me, we all burnt out on it pretty much
3) Still learning, not great still, but have had not nearly enough time put to wards this.
4) Stuffed this one up. Can do tourist level questions and answers, but not converse in. Still a working effort though
5) I did the first part, but didn't get my honors.
6) She started to learn this! Remembers most of the pieces movements and can start a game!

2) Get into a playable state at least one of the drat rulesets I've been working on.
3) Resurrect the localtype game sessions for more than just one-shots.

Well, that first one was a pretty low bar. But, looking back I apparently did it!
The second one, well, I started out on track, but this year has kinda turned to poo poo a whole magnitude greater than the usual yearly poo poo and I didn't as a result.
And, despite the aforementioned exceptionally awful state of this year, I actually succeeded at this one also. Although admittedly a lot of the success of my third resolution can also be attributed to my localtype friends.

So, right, 12 models to be painted, at least, this year.
