Had a nice visit from the police tonight. Looks like my fighty neighbours forgot the golden rule of not doing a crime in front of CCTV cameras (mine). Forgive the naive question but the EU seem much more prepared for No Deal than us, so I'm assuming they have documentation for their border guards and customs agents about movement of goods and people in the event of No Deal. There must have been some training, a powerpoint, even an email that says what checks are to be carried out. Instead of endlessly debating what might happen with exports, why hasn't a journalist used their journalism skills and find out what the French and Dutch ports plan to do? Even if nobody is officially allowed to give out details, I can't believe that the thousands and thousands of employees are all incorruptable.

Can you even fathom what it must be like to live and work somewhere where everybody on the entire continent is smart, cares about their job, and welcomes workers from around the globe? Where there’s no police or politician for a thousand miles? In one of the least polluted and least spoiled areas of the entire planet? I’d fuckin’ love to work in Antarctica.

The North and the South voted the split (splitters!) last year and the South had its AGM last week. The North was supposed to have its AGM the week before that but the PPC (arch Blairite Sally Keeble) and her cronies want to impose a delegate system on the CLP and its members disagree so regional has kicked it into the long grass, leaving 500+ members with no party.

If I was single I would apply for that job Jose linked right this second. It would be loving awesome to go to Antarctica, and while the basic salary is pretty low it's not like you can spend any of it while you're there.
