Sometimes I think we take for granted just how revolutionary the computer truly is. Without it, it's difficult to imagine exactly where we would be today. One thing is for sure though - we wouldn't be using the computer for anything.

Some things I thought of that wouldn't exist without the computer:

1. Something Awful: Really, this is an obvious one. None of us would be posting here at all if it weren't for computers, and I'd look askance at someone who might suggest that we would.

2. Google: Honestly, "Where Would We Be Without Google?" could easily be a thread in its own right, but, for now, I'll just say if it weren't for the computer, you could kiss this modern convenience goodbye in a heartbeat, or perhaps more appropriately, a Flash (<- A little bit of computer humor ;) ).

3. VLC Media Player: Then again, would this really be a BAD thing?

This thread is to ponder just where we would be without the computer.
