The thing with digital online services is that we rely too much on foreign ones. American firms have grown to such an extent that there is now even the concept of digital colonialism of Europe. Thus our social and even political content is under scrutiny on American service of terms, with decisions made based on their idea of ethics and without local perspective by sweatshop moderators in a third world country. What can you do? The obvious answer would be to use local services, but where are the alternatives? They either fail to gain traction or are bought off by foreign investors. Jaiku was the Finnish alternative to Twitter for example, but it was bought by Google, which languished under their wing. There's always the comment section in news articles though.

It's amazing, reading these accounts of how these privately operated old people's homes try to operate profitable to share holders while simultaneously working on the cheapest contract with the state. Long story short, it's a total poo poo show, but it has been going on for 10 years or so. The equation just doesn't work, but somehow that hasn't changed the politicians minds. Indeed, the government is defending themselves by saying their Social & Healthcare Services bill will fix those problems, but I have my doubts.

Yes checking if the bill works with the constitution is a blatant political game. Don't let such trivialities like right to privacy stop the process. I find it hilarious that such a patriotic twerp like Niinistö thinks the constitution is more of a hindrance, not apparently remembering the real historical and patriotic background of the document. From who did we establish our national sovereignty, unless he's one of those old school Czar loving patriots.

Anyway the Social and Healthcare bill that the government has tried for years to ram thru is starting to finally fall into pieces, and I can't be more vahingoniloinen. How can the government and the parties involved be this incompetent in their job? You had amble time to figure poo poo out and fix the problems the same constitutional committee pointed out in previous sessions, but gently caress that. Cock wanted their "freedom of choice", and Kepu their loving provincial reforms. And to top it all off, they didn't even bother to ask the EU if they were OK with the plan, in case it conflicts with their laws and directives. How can you be this loving incompetent? Did they skip civil class in college that day where they discussed about laws and constitutions? I'm venting, but goddamn if you thought Jyrki Katainen's six-pack coalition was poo poo, you certainly didn't expect a right-wing coalition government to be this inept. They had a good run loving the poor though.
