The Resident Evil 2 remake is out in 10 days and the last RE thread is archived, so here's another one. I'm deep in RE hype so I think I'm finally going to play RE4 with the new HD texture pack before RE2 comes out on the 25th. Can't wait! If anyone wants to play RE5 or RE6 mercenaries some time, I'd be down. I wonder if RE2 is going to have mercs...

I also still have RE6 installed so I was thinking of playing some Mercenaries this weekend. I'll echo the OP and hope the RE2make has Mercenaries. It's at least going to have all the Extra Battle Mode stuff from original 2, judging by the demo. But I wonder how crazy they'll get with the bonus modes. Resident Evil FTW.

Someone datamined something from the demo that refers to "Rogue Mode" and has a character and costume select and leaderboards and includes characters that aren't in the main game like Chris Redfirld and the RE7 protag so I'm guessing that's gonna be like Mercenaries

Also been playing Resident Evil Revelations on the Switch, the ship is a great setting and the episodic story has a nice pace to it.

Jill looks really hosed up in it good to hear about Rev2, I got that on sale some time but haven't still played it. was worried it wasn't any good. Rev1 has a classic RE feel to it, which I really like, but the plot is wild and the BSAA acronym just... isn't STARS.

In Training posted:HD texture pack? Yeah. It didn't feel all that different to me at first but the Castle looks amazing now. You can actually read what the words on the sliding block puzzle say, and all the paintings look great. I'm up to chapter 4 just using the handgun/knife/grenades and my case is nearly empty.

I managed to beat the double garrador (blind claw guys) room today. I'm learning a lot about enemy spawns and behavior in this run due to actually needing to conserve ammo. For instance there's a guy hiding in the corner of this room who is impossible to deal with without alerting the 2 garradors or taking a bunch of damage, and he'll start walking towards you if you ring either of the bells. There are also 3 more guys that spawn behind you if you walk too far up the stairs. So to do this room with just the handgun and knife you have to lure the garradors down to the lower area (hopefully one at a time) and take care of them there. I wasn't counting but it seemed like it took 15 or so knife hits in the back for each of them.

I think it tracks what weapon you use the most and gives you less ammo to make you use other weapons.

Played the first level of Outbreak 1 tonight on a whim and goddamn I wish they had made more of these. 1 and 2 are so loving awesome, except for the last level in 1.

Yeah, big ups to the REO community. THey're super fun co-op games, some of the coolest co-op designs I've ever seen but they're stuck on like, private servers that you have to run off emulators or by hard coding in a certain IP address off your PS2 or w/e. Essentially lost to time.
