Here is why we created a new thread: The HUGE new patch launched on 1/16/2019 yay!!!!! Please refer to Post #2 for all the patch notes Crossplay launches with the next patch. That's why we have a new thread. To get ready for crossplay which will rule. Switch, PC and XBOX will all be able to play together. Lastly, we're looking to revive the goon community. The goon discord for the game can be found here in the SA Pro Elite Gamers discord: https://discord.gg/DffK2jk We are ready to play this video game because it is cool and good with friends. OK, let's do this! The nice fire lady stands next to her pet dragon who I'm sure will be greeting people when you walk into their store. "Welcome to Wal-Mart," he will say. Welcome to Paladins! Paladins is a free-to-play online first-person-shooter video game developed by Evil Mojo Games (development studio under the Hi-Rez Studios publishing group). The game is rooted in a colorful fantasy setting featuring Champions, playable characters that have their own unique fire-function and skills. Combat in each game mode is also nearly entirely skillshot-based, meaning projectiles can be dodged. Although each champion has their own personality and abilities, to get around Paladins' maps, the real character variation comes from the Cards and Item Systems that augments a champion in different ways. Closed beta phase began on November 17, 2015. The game officially went into open beta on September 16, 2016. An Xbox One and Playstation 4 versions of the game entered their closed beta phases on March 14, 2017. Both of these ports went into open beta on May 3, 2017. Paladins launched out of beta on all platforms on May 8, 2018. After that, Paladins was released on June 12, 2018 for Nintendo Switch. TLDR: It's got a mix of Overwatch and some RPG elements to it. 5v5. Lots of modes and champions. Keep reading! Champions That cool good person Moji turns enemies into dog biscuits and eats them. Yeah, it's hilarious. Champions are the playable characters in Paladins. Each one has its own unique abilities and fighting style. Champions use Cards to increase their performance and enhance their skills, and Items to help them adapt to specific situations in any match. There are currently 40 playable champions in the game. Champions are organized into 4 different types: Front Line, Damage, Support and Flank. Every champion has a unique weapon, 4 skills, and a special skill called an Ultimate. Ultimate skills are not subject to cooldown, but instead have a meter that must be charged before they can be used. This meter passively gains a 1% charge every 3.33s, but can be actively increased by dealing damage to enemies and restoring the missing health of allies. Landing a killing blow on an enemy with a high killstreak grants an additional 10% ultimate charge for each kill streak after the 5th. Using an ultimate will deplete the meter fully, allowing it to recharge. Each champion also possesses 4 unique Talents. Talents grant access to different playstyles by providing strong boosts to certain aspects of the champion, with some talents even causing radical changes to the way their weapon or skills work, usually at the cost of some counterbalancing penalty. New players start with 5 champions unlocked by default: Cassie, Jenos, Lex, Ruckus and Viktor. Players also gain temporary access to 4 champions from a rotating free champion schedule. The free rotation is changed every 2 weeks. Additional champions can be purchased for either Gold or Crystals. The majority of the cast costs 30000 Currency Gold / 200 Currency Crystals to unlock, while the most recently released champions cost 60000 Currency Gold / 300 Currency Crystals. A few champions (such as Buck and Grohk) cost 15000 Currency Gold / 100 Currency Crystals instead. The Founder's Pack includes the Champion Pack, which automatically unlocks all current and future Champions in the game without any additional costs. Each champion has their own Mastery Level, which increases the more they are played. Achieving new levels with a champion grants special rewards. You can use Gold to increase the Mastery Level of a Champion instantly. Players are required to have at least 14 owned champions to access Ranked. Unagi is the new champion that came out. She does cool things Cards This image was put here because I got very lazy and was like, I am tired of typing. My fingers hurt. Let's screen this instead. The Cards system in Paladins is one of the main features that sets the game apart from others in the genre. Cards offer players the ability to empower a Champions' attributes and enhance or modify their skills, tailoring them to a particular playstyle. All cards are available to all champions to use for free. Each champion in the game has their own unique card collection that cannot be used by any other champion. Cards are equipped by champions 5 at a time in sets called loadouts. Players can increase or decrease the strength of the cards in their loadouts to one of the 5 ranks (Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic and Legendary), however loadouts have a fixed limit of 15 to the total card ranks. Sample loadout for Cards with the Birdbox Challenge's favorite heroine, SERIS Items Defense, Utility, Resistance OH MY! Items (previously known as Burn cards) are special kinds of cards that all Champions have access to via the in-match store. These items allow players to gain useful benefits such as bonus movement or reload speed. There are four types of items: Defense, Utility, Healing, and Offense. Items can be purchased at the spawn rooms by pressing the item store key ("I" by default). Items are purchased with Currency Credits. A player can only have one item from each category at once. Each item can be upgraded up to two times, replacing the previous item with a stronger version of itself. Each upgrade costs the original value multiplied by 2 or 3 (e.g. a 300 Currency Credits item will cost 600 Currency Credits to upgrade to tier 2, and 900 Currency Credits to upgrade to tier 3). Once purchased or upgraded, items cannot be sold or downgraded. There is an autobuy function that allows new players to have the game purchase items for them. This feature can be toggled on and off from the Gameplay tab in the Options menu. Sample Build with Cards, Items, Champion, Etc.! This is Moji. So is this...a skin for Moji. The skills. The talents. The cards (you can only select a few, so this is your 'build) Moving along... Game Modes Maps Maps are areas in the realm of Paladins where most of the fighting takes place. Each Map has its own special, distinctive elements that make it unique. There are several Maps, each one designed to be played with certain Game Modes in mind. Ranked Welcome to the new Competitive Paladins. Paladins' in-game competitive mode will now allow players to progress as an account through each tier from Bronze to Grandmaster. As you play, you'll gain Triumph Points (or TP), and once you pass 100 TP in your current division, you are immediately promoted to the next division! If you are performing exceptionally in your current division, you may skip forward a few divisions when you are promoted. Now is a great time to get back into ranked play! With the start of this split players will have any previous ranking hard reset. This will allow all players to start on an equal playing field with everyone else. Let the race to Grandmaster begin! Gameplay Game Mechanics Comeback Mechanic is a mechanic in Siege that gives the team, which is behind according to score, an advantage while capturing the Capture Point. Diminishing returns makes many different types of effects (both positive and negative effects) less effective when stacked up or reused on a recently affected target. Headshots occur when a champion with a hitscan-type weapon lands a shot around the head area of an enemy champion. Overtime is an extension to the normal time given in a match. Respawning is the system by which players come back to life without the intervention of other players. Shields absorb a limited amount of damage from enemy champions while allowing allies to shoot through them. Status Effects are negative conditions which usually afflict the targeted champions with some kind of penalty. Stealth allows champions to turn invisible to the opposing team. True Damage is a special type of damage that ignores any kind of damage reduction, being directly applied to the health of the target. Accolades are medals awarded for a player's accomplishments during a match. Top Play - After finishing a match a screen pops up that introduces the top play of the game. Status Effects Stealth Stealth is a mechanic in Paladins that allows champions to turn invisible to the opposing team. Taking enough damage or performing actions like weapon attacks or casting skills will break stealth, making the champion visible again. Enemies moving too close to an stealthed character will cause it to become partially visible. There are also some cards and items that allow champions to diminish or disable the effects of stealth while other ones can enhance their effect or enable additional ways to trigger the effect. Champions capable of using Stealth are: Skye: She has the skill Hidden, which allows her to become stealthed for a duration. Smoke Screen will also grant her stealth the first time she enters the cloud. Her Emergency Exit card grants her stealth at low health. Sha Lin: He has the ability to go into stealth through his Withdraw and Heat Haze skills. Seris: She can enter stealth while also becoming untargetable for a short time upon activating Shadow Travel. Strix: He has a toggleable Stealth skill that runs on a stealth resource. Treasure Chests Treasure Chests in Paladins are a way to try your luck to get random rewards, or rare, epic and even legendary Cosmetic Items. The treasure chest menu can be accessed from the in-game store. To open a chest, simply select the chest you want, and then click the "Open Chest" or "Purchase" button. Most chests can only be opened with Currency Crystals, but some of them can be unlocked with Currency Gold. Chest rolls can also be earned as rewards for certain quests. Some chests, such as the Gold Chest and Diamond Chest, allow the opportunity to unlock directly purchasable content at a fraction of its original price. Daily Quests, Daily Rewards, Weekly Rewards, Special Events They're a thing. They exist. Accolades and Awards Accolades are medals awarded for a player's accomplishments during a match, and are featured on the final score screen. Each accolade has three versions: Gold, Silver and Bronze. Gold is given to the players who did the best in each category, with silver and bronze being given to those who would be in "2nd" and "3rd" places respectively. Accolades also give bonus Currency Gold. Gold accolades grant 25 Currency Gold, Silver accolades grant 15 Currency Gold and Bronze accolades grant 5 Currency Gold. Awards are special trophies and achievements granted for accomplishing specific tasks or feats in and out of a match. Some awards have several tiers: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond. Most awards will grant a reward upon completion. These rewards range from currency such as Currency Gold.png Gold to special Titles, and more. Battle Pass The Battle Pass is a rewards system in Paladins. It was introduced in Paladins OB70 and replaces the VIP Program. The system allows players to earn Battle Pass XP by playing matches. The Battle Pass XP is needed to level up the Battle Pass Level. By leveling, the player will unlock rewards. Battle Pass Membership Players could purchase a paid path for each Battle Pass. With purchased Battle Pass, the player gets more frequent and better rewards like Epic or Legendary skins, announcer packs, mounts, and much more. Battle Pass members unlock a reward every level, and also unlock the rewards from the free track. Furthermore, the player will receive special bonuses like chat icons, special name treatments, and the Battle Pass XP is boosted. Battle Passport The Battle Passport is a quick purchase that unlocks the Battle Pass itself and 30 Battle Pass Levels. It costs 1500 Crystals, saving the player over 1000 Crystals versus buying the levels themselves. Free Rewards Players who do not purchase the Battle Pass are still able to collect free rewards such as Gold and Diamond chests while leveling up. If the player decide to purchase the Battle Pass later, it will retroactively unlock all the rewards up to the players current Battle Pass Level. Paladins Premier League As part of the Battle Pass, every Paladins player get to pick the winners of Paladins Premier League matches in a fantasy league system. Choosing correctly awards the player with Battle Pass XP. Cosmetic Items Cosmetic Items are optional unlockable elements in Paladins that have no effect on gameplay. Most of these cosmetics are unlocked with either Gold or Crystals, but there are also some that are unlocked through special promotions and events. Some cosmetics can only be obtained by rolling Treasure Chests. There are several categories of cosmetics in the game. Standard cosmetics: These are regular cosmetics that are always available in the Store. Exclusive cosmetics: These are cosmetics that are related to promotions, holidays, treasure chests and events. These cosmetics will usually return as part of other promotions, events or in treasure chests. Limited cosmetics: These are unique cosmetics that are only available for a limited period of time, and once they are disabled, they can no longer be obtained through conventional means. Unlimited cosmetics: These are unique cosmetics that are available for a limited time during a event, and, once the event ends, can be unlocked for the full event price. We've got Skins, Emotes, Voice Packs, Mounts and more. Controls Some Miscellaneous Notes So, this is a personal alternative to Overwatch. Awesome game there, and a really, really fun game here. It's still getting big support from the dev team and with crossplay incoming VERY VERY SOON, now is a good time to get ready to dominate some newbies and get a goon stomp crew in order. The skill of your average player here is nothing like that of Overwatch for example. You'll play characters that are incredibly similar to what you know from that game (Viktor AKA Soldier 76). At the end of the day, we want to have some fun, get some goons together and play a cool game. It's nothing revolutionary, but it's got some charm and can keep you occupied for awhile if you want to invest some time into it! Hope to see you in game! More to come in the OP as I update more that dropped with the patch on 1/16/19. Squid Shooter Man Dredge, getting leveled slowly, looking an awful lot like my main man JUNKRAT See you all in game!!!!! Ask questions in thread, we will all help. Newbies, come on down and chill.

Update 12/21: Added additional bug fixes to The Hunt section. Overview Frost and fire, heed my call! Imani has finally arrived, bringing with her the elemental might of the Warders and their dragons. The Hunt, an initiative focused on QoL, bug fixes, and polish, will introduce new improvements to Paladins every update. The Hunt’s mission is simple: We want to end 2019 with Paladins in a better state than it’s ever been before. We’re also happy to announce the start of Season 2, featuring a reworked Ranked system, a major overhaul to Talents and Loadouts, and plethora of new Champion balance. Enter a fresh new Realm and experience Paladins like never before! We’ve developed a brand new Battle Suit Battle Pass complete with three Mech-tastic skins, an all-new Speeder Mount type, and tons of new content for you to enjoy. Hope you’re ready to suit up, pilot! Champion #40: Imani, The Last Warder Long ago, there was chaos and war. Dragons ruled the Realm, and mankind was left to fight over the scraps that remained. But one wise mage studied the ancient beasts’ secrets. She established the Warders and commanded the power of a dragon for the good of the people. It was that Warder’s actions which paved the way for the Paladins’ golden age of peace. The Warders were thought to be dead and gone, a relic of a bygone age. But a beacon was lit in their ancient homeland, a call that the Warders were needed once again… If there were any left. Imani answered that call. Little is known about the Last Warder’s past before she appeared in Dredge’s treasure trove to recover her relics, but one thing is sure: She will uphold the legacy of her lineage and stand against the darkness. Overview Role – Damage Health – 2200 [Passive] Clearcast – As Imani deals damage she generates mana. When her mana is full, the next Frost Bolt or Pyre Ball she casts is instant. [Fire] Inferno Cannon – Unleash a torrent of piercing fire forward, dealing 110 damage every 0.9s over 3s. [Ability 1] Frostfire Glide Surf through the sky on frostfire for 3s. This ability is not affected by your elemental alignment. [Ability 2] Elemental Shift Shift your elemental alignment, gaining access to new abilities. [Ultimate] Dragon’s Call Imani summons and controls a frostfire breathing Draconic Avatar. The Draconic Avatar has its own control scheme. This ability is not affected by your elemental alignment. Talents [Default] Splitting Ice: Frost Bolt bounces to an additional enemy, dealing reduced damage. [Level 2] Pyromania: Every third Pyre Ball you hit explodes, damaging nearby enemies. [Level 8] Mana Rift: After standing still for 2s, create a Mana Rift around you that generates Mana. Leaving the Mana Rift destroys it. Cards Weapon/Armor Ancient Duty [Armor] Increase your Maximum Health by {scale=50|50}. Elemental Grace [Armor] Dropping below 50% HP grants a {100|100} health Shield for 3s. Heat Sink [Pyreball] Dealing damage with Pyreball reduces the Cooldown of Frost Bomb by {0.5|0.5}s. The Hunt We’re improving quality throughout Season 2 with The Hunt: an initiative focused on process and quality of life improvements, bug fixes, and polish. Along with extended PTS, we’ve also expanded our programming team and devoted 20-40% of each development cycle to polish. The Hunt’s mission is simple: We want to end 2019 with Paladins in a better state than it’s ever been before. Here are a few of the first improvements: Polish All Siege maps now have callouts for different locations around the map. These callouts are found above your Champion’s portrait. Bot pathing improvements have been added to allow bots to attempt to jump out of a place where they’ve become stuck. The client no longer shows the “Return to Lobby” button in the escape menu after reconnecting to a match. Event modifiers were previously additive to your end-of-match multipliers. In other words, it would calculate with other multipliers such as Battle Pass and Match Boosters, and then apply to your base value. Event modifiers will now multiply your rewards after all other calculations are done. This means 2x Experience events will now provide a true 2x value, etc. Worked with our server vendor to improve lag issues in the Brazil. Vendors had a misconfiguration, on servers, which has now been corrected. Optimized servers for northern LATAM by removing vendors that are lower performers . This will be an ongoing project as we try to remove vendors that are not performing to our expectations. general bug fixes Fixed an issue that allowed players to select a non-saved loadout if the match popped while they were constructing it. Fixed an issue where Lian’s Lounge Emote did not include her chair. Fixed a text error with the Jenos Squidbert skin. Corrected the Death Stamp order on the Profile Equip menu. CC reduction now reduces percent effectiveness of slow instead of duration. Items Haven is now properly reducing damage from the following abilities: Buck – Net Shot Maeve – Pounce Ash – Shoulder Bash Lian – Grace Zhin – Spite Strix – Flare Talus – Blitz Upper Khan – Commander’s Grab Maps Fixed various Warder’s Gate collision issues, one of which could result in players falling through the floor of the map. Champion bug fixes and polish Willo Fixed an issue were Willo’s acceleration and speed during Fae Flight was sluggish. Jenos Now can’t fire emotes while Stellar Wind is active to prevent Roaming emotes like Tranquil Breeze from cancelling the speed boost but not cancelling the ability and putting it in cooldown. Grover Verdant Expanse now correctly increases Blossom’s radius. Lian Presence’s pre-fire animation now properly locks the firing of all other abilities for Lian so she can no longer fire up her Enlightenment or Grace while charging Presence. Fixed an issue that prevented Presence from hitting when the target was partially occluded. Vivian The knockback from exploding sensor drones with the Booby Trap talent no longer ignores CC immunity. Sha Lin The knockback from Impaler Arrow’s explosion no longer ignores CC immunity. Makoa The Shell Spin ability description now lists the damage it deals Moji Boom Boom now detonates at 15 radius instead of 12.75. Terminus Fixed a bug where Terminus could not use Reanimate in the shooting range. Executes now properly drop Terminus into his pre-Reanimate state when he is at the correct health threshold. Fixed a bug where Terminus’s 3P camera was not positioned correctly during Reanimate. Under Investigation Below are some of our highest priority gameplay issues that we are putting effort and resources into fixing. If you have any information or perspective that could aid in the solving of the below issues, please let us know through our dedicated Bug Reporting Forum here. Match Lobby Sometimes Players become disconnected from the match lobby or the match lobby fails to launch. Resulting in players being penalized with deserter. Terminus Sometimes Players with high latency incur a client server desync that results in Terminus not being able to swing his Axe. Power Siphon reportedly sometimes allows shots to travel through. Sometimes Players with high latency stutter and warp through the air while Shatterfall is being performed. Terminus can appear to move while Reanimate is firing. Activating Reanimate after being Khan Ulted teleports Terminus. Terminus is forced to Ult in certain circumstances. Terminus interacting oddly with spawn doors while Ult is charged. Terminus can receive targeted healing after dying if his Ult is charged. Khan Sometimes a player will activate Commander’s Grab, not hit/stun an enemy, and still undergo the hit+throw animation lockout. Sha Lin Sometimes players can lose FPS while playing this Champion. Balance & Gameplay Changes Card Changes Developer Commentary: One of the important aspects of Paladins’ fun is the flow of each match. Players start fairly durable, but as offensive item shop picks come online, aspects like tankiness and healing are diminished and lead to more intense final moments. Cards and Talents that circumvent this disrupt the flow and lead to unnatural moments of weakness early on that persist throughout the entire game. Removed all instances of cauterize, wrecker, reveal, and crowd control reduction from Champion loadout cards. Talents Developer Commentary: A key part of Paladins is the ability to customize your own playstyle. Talents present one of the best avenues to define the way YOU want to play each Champion, and those playstyles should be as diverse and meaningful as possible. Returning to our original three Talent set-up allows us to make each Talent pick more unique and have a manner of impact distinctly its own. All Champions now have three Talents. Item Store Developer Commentary: We want the item store to be a more effective element in creating diverse playstyles and counter options. Many useful items, like Illuminate, were often forgone because restrictions meant having to give up more general use items like Haven. We’re lifting these restriction to open up the potential combinations of item purchases and are excited to see the more flexible builds and playstyles players concoct. Category resctrictions have been lifted. New Prices: Defense Resilience 250/500/750 Illuminate 150/300/450 Healing Kill to Heal 200/400/600 Life Rip 200/400/600 Offense Bulldozer 150/300/450 Deft Hands 250/500/750 Champions Androxus Developer Commentary: The functional changes to Defiance in the past few updates have drastically improved the skill’s usability. However, Defiance’s ease of use does not match up to the damage output. We’ve adjusted this ability to deal equal damage to Androxus’ Revolver, giving players an option to use Defiance as a more confirmable finisher or filler during reloads. Abilities Defiance damage reduced to 520 Talents Dark Stalker removed Cursed Cylinder is now the default Talent Cards Abyssal Touch scaling reduced to {1|1}s Spiteful – NEW: Killing enemies with Defiance generates {3|3}% Ultimate charge Ash Developer Commentary: Ash’s ultimate has always been an amazing defensive option, but is limited to only protecting herself. Inara Talents Wrath of Stagalla removed Treacherous grounds now unlocked at Champion Mastery Level 8 Cards Insurmountable – NEW: Increase your ammo count by {1|1} Jenos Developer Commentary: Healing in Paladins is an integral part of strong team composition, with burst healing options being especially important. As one of the only Supports in Paladins without a burst heal, we felt Jenos was almost pigeon holed into picking Celestial Touch to maintain the healer identity. We’ve moved a portion of that Burst Heal to his base ability to allow Jenos more varied styles without having to give up his Support identity. Abilities Astral Mark now heals for an additional 5% of allies’ max health Talents Celestial Touch removed Cards Sidereal – NEW: Gain {50|50} Health Eclipse – NEW: Every second channeling Void Grip heals you for {50|50} Khan Developer Commentary: Khan’s Ultimate was too confirmable for the payoff it delivered. Particularly in higher level play, it practically guarantees a 5v4 team fight on use. Now, the Ultimate still retains its power, but requires aim and can be dodged or juked by wary opponents. Abilities Overpower is now a skillshot and must be aimed. Missing Overpower provides 30% ultimate charge back to Khan Increased Overpower damage from 600 ➡️ 700 Overpower Range reduced 300 ➡️ 180 Players within Overpower range will appear with an orange outline Talents Firing Line removed Vortex Grip now unlocked at Champion Mastery Level 8 Kinessa Talents Suppression removed Eagle Eye now unlocked at Champion Mastery Level 8 Cards Octoppressor – NEW: Oppressor mines affect up to {1|1} more enemies Open Season – NEW: Full charged weapon hits refund {1|1} ammo Lie in Wait – NEW: After 2s of standing still, regenerate {1|1} ammo every 2 seconds Koga Developer Commentary: Koga’s Dragon Stance, while a powerful ranged burst option, had difficulty contending with the overall strength of his Submachine Guns, which provide comparable lethality with little cost. We’ve made these changes to shift the power of his tools and allow for more varied gameplay, which is the heart of Paladins’ identity. Talents Master of Arms removed Dragon Fangs health consumption per second reduced 200 ➡️ 150 Dragon Fangs now unlocked at Champion Mastery Level 8 Blood Reaper – NEW: Cyclone Strike charges 15% faster and now deals up to 100% of target’s health as damage over its duration. Many times, players are simply overhealing lower health champions while also being locked out from other actions. This forced players into using Void Abides to remain competitive with other Supports. We’ve reworked the Void Abides functionality into the base Restore Soul at slightly lower value. This allows Seris to be a more effective solo healer and widen her talent choices across all levels of play. Abilities Restore Soul now also heals all allies within 50ft of your target for 30% of the healing value at base Talents Void Abides removed Mortal Reach now unlocked at Champion Mastery Level 2 Cards Dark Sight – NEW: Activating Rend Soul restores {1|1} ammunition Sha Lin Talents Shifting Sands removed Cards Quick Sand – NEW: Reduced Impaler Arrow’s cooldown by {0.6|0.6}s Poise – NEW: Reduced the movement speed penalty while drawing your Long Bow by {20|20}% Skewer – NEW: Successful hits with Impaler Arrow reduce the cooldown of planted by {1|1}s Skye Developer Commentary: Smoke Screen’s ability to interfere with line of sight has often been a point of frustration, as it can’t be countered like normal stealth and its effect was applied in a very jarring, unclear way. We’ve changed the functionality to apply the stealth system that already has clear tells and counters. Abilities Smoke Screen no longer interferes with enemy line of sight Amount of visual effects on Smoke Screen has been reduced Smoke Screen will now Grant Stealth every 0.5s while Skye is within the deployable Smoke Screen will now refresh the benefits of Healing Vapors and Dissipate every 0.5s Talents Surprise Attack removed Smoke and Dagger – NEW: Smoke Screen now Heals allies inside it for 400 Health every 1s Cards Healing Vapors now heals {100|100} health over 4s ➡️ 2s Dissipate buff now lasts 2s Dissipate now grants {10|10}% ➡️{7|7}% Movement Speed Decrepify – NEW: Hitting poison bolts causes you to not consume ammo for {0.6|0.6}s Twilight Armor – NEW: Increase your ammo count by {2|2}. Quick Smoker cooldown reduction decreased {1|1}s ➡️ {0.6|0.6}s Specter’s duration increase of Smoke Screen reduced {1|1}s ➡️ {0.6|0.6}s Strix Developer Commentary: Unauthorized Use diverted from its intended design as a strong burst damage option for Strix’s pistol and instead became a very powerful utility card that could keep much of the enemy team revealed for far longer and more frequently than desired. We’ve removed the reveal component of the Talent and increased its projectile speed to shift it more towards the original intent as a powerful pistol burst option. Talents Ambush removed Unauthorized Use no longer reveals Unauthorized Use projectile speed increased 100 -> 250 Unauthorized Use now unlocked at Champion Mastery Level 2 Cards Overburn – NEW: Flare lasts {0.6|0.6}s longer Talus Talents Raging Demon removed Inner Strength damage reduction removed Inner Strength is now the default Talent Cards Antediluvian – NEW: Increase the duration of Overcharge by {0.2|0.2}s Dark Vision – NEW: Kills with Blitz Upper grant {5|5}% Ultimate charge Terminus Developer Commentary: Power Siphon is an incredibly powerful tool at Terminus’ disposal and the freedom he has to use it at any moment, given he has the resources, makes it difficult to gauge when it’s the right time to attack him. We’ve added a short cooldown to prevent quick-swapping the Siphon and to make his vulnerability periods much more consistent. Abilities Power Siphon Cooldown reduced 3s ➡️ 1s Talents Seething Rage removed Cards Abomination – NEW: Successful hits with Calamity blast grant {2|2}% Power Siphon Energy It Follows – NEW: Gain {1|1}% movement speed per calamity charge It Follows is now a Calamity Blast Card It Watches – NEW: Hitting enemies with your Massacre Axe generates {2|2}% Power Siphon Energy It Watches is now a Weapon/Armor Card Forsaken – NEW: Hitting enemies with your Massacre Axe generates {10|10}% of a Calamity Charge. We’ve reworked it to grant Nade Launcher charges, giving Tyra a much more flexible pocket of burst she can pull out to finish opponents and help in duels. Abilities Auto Rifle now provides 15% lifesteal Talents First Blood removed Mercy Kill – NEW: Nade Launcher now has 3 charges Mercy Kill is now the default Talent Hunting Party now unlocked at Champion Mastery Level 2 Cards Napalm – NEW: Activating Fire Bomb restores {4|4} ammo Trail Blazer – NEW: Kills grant {5|5} ammo Viktor Talents Firefight removed Burst Mode time between shots in burst decreased 0.07s ➡️ 0.05s Burst Mode time between burst increased 0.38s ➡️ 0.40s Burst Mode now unlocked at Champion Mastery Level 8 Cardio is now the default Talent Cards Predator NEW: Gain {8|8}% Lifesteal while in Iron Sights Vivian Talents Sapper Rounds removed Opportunity in Chaos now unlocked at Champion Mastery Level 8 Cards Runic Ammunition – NEW: Provides {5|5}% Lifesteal Willo Talents Scorched Earth removed Scorn now unlocked at Champion Mastery Level 8 Cards Pixie Dust heal increased {25|25} ➡️ {50|50} Nectar heal increased {50|50} ➡️ {75|75} Ying Talents Lifelike removed Life Exchange now unlocked at Champion Mastery Level 2 Resonance now unlocked at Champion Mastery Level 8 Cards Brittle cooldown reduction reduced {0.7|0.7} ➡️ {0.5|0.5}s Zhin Developer Commentary: Counter can an effective tool in turning the tides of a duel in your favor, but a large part of its payoff relies on Zhin being in melee range. In practical use players are more often engaging further away with the ability instead functioning as a very brief moment of immunity. We’ve changed the retaliatory strike to fire one of his ranged projectiles, allowing the ability to regain its identity as a “counter” option in combat rather than a minor safety option. Abilities Counter no longer deals melee strike upon receiving a hit while active Counter now fires a Inferno Blade projectile at the player’s crosshair location upon receiving a hit Counter damage increased 560 ➡️ 600 Spite range slightly increased Cards Successful hits with Master Stance counter reduces the cooldown of Whirl by {scale=1|1}s Viciousness ammo gain increased{1|1} ➡️ {2|2} Talents Retaliation removed Smolder now unlocked at Champion Mastery Level 8 Cards Perfect Block heal increased {50|50} -> {100|100} health ICR fucked around with this message at 00:08 on Jan 17, 2019 |

This game was a lot more fun before their "1.0" patch. And before they kept adding bloated features in an effort to make more money. Also nice to see that my founders pack is next to useless; still have to buy a "battle pass" or some other poo poo if I want to earn stuff. This dumb poo poo is why I stopped playing multiplayer games in the first place. Also Viktor's new look is garbage.

It would be nice if they hadn’t just given me gobs of a useless currency instead of an actual reward for the giant grind put in, but I’m also not super into skins for the game so vOv. I am getting really bad input lag recently though, which is very sad and making it hard to play my DPS characters. I played this game back in beta and wasn't really into it, but I came back recently and it's pretty fun now! The card/item systems make it a more character-build-centric alternative to OW, with ability design that feels like it leans a bit harder into the MOBA style of things for some characters, though there's still plenty of shooter-based class archetypes as well. It's also nice that the frontline/support champions have a pretty good variety of playstyles so you're not, for example, just attaching a heal beam to people as a support or whatnot.

The card system is legitimately very cool. It is unfortunate that you need to unlock most of the cards for each Champions deck if you want to really be able to make your own setups, however. Regardless, I appreciate a game letting me play a character in a very different manner than someone else, and not penalizing anybody in the process.

There’s a lot of changes in the game lurkers and goons and goonlurkers. Basically, if you played even a few months ago, the new patch made big changes. If you played years ago, the game is VERY different. Also, you’ll actually have goons to play with now. We had a nice crew on last night. And if the game isn’t for you, that’s cool—I understand that. If you are looking for something to kill some time while 2019 drops some incredible games, give this a shot and see if it’s something you can get into!

This dumb poo poo is why I stopped playing multiplayer games in the first place. You dont have to buy the battle pass if you dont want to. You can still get skins from chests and events. You have to spend money or save up free crystals to unlock cosmetics. The founder pass gave you all champions current and future, and their voice pack. Viktors new look does suck but you can still use the old one. Gold is for buying champions and buying champion levels. Mostly useful to free players. But if you already have the champion because you bought a founders pack years ago, then it's still worth it to level new champs to 12 to unlock talents. You also get a cool title for leveling your champ to 30 and a golden skin for leveling them to 50.

Got back into this on PS4 a couple days ago(had played for a couple days about a year ago) and am having a good amount of fun with it Of the champions I've tried so far, I'm liking most of them, although some you definitely need to tinker with their card loadouts to make good(Fernando is a good example of this), and that Dragon guy really needs an overhaul cause he is not very good as far as I can tell

It's been a long time, so I don't remember, but if Lex is the default Flank champion you can pick from install just run Discovery because it is crazy good, even after all the patches and nerfs and changes. Hey, I'm interested in Paladins but have never played, can anyone tell me how Paladins compares to Overwatch regarding "barriers" like Rhineheart's shield? Are they in Paladins? If so, how prevalent are they? Edit: I see the OP mentions "shields", but how common are they and to what degree does the game revolve around them. Jack B Nimble posted:Hey, I'm interested in Paladins but have never played, can anyone tell me how Paladins compares to Overwatch regarding "barriers" like Rhineheart's shield? Are they in Paladins? If so, how prevalent are they? Yeah, shields are fairly common but they're not as bad as they are in Overwatch. For one thing, the maps are more open even if you don't have mobility so you can often go around and flank instead of having to deal with the choke points Blizzard loves to put on their maps. One of the items you can buy during matches increases the damage you do to shields which will help you bring them down faster and even without them I find they're not too bad to deal with. Several characters have shields, and some characters have cards that let them temporarily get shield health in various circumstances (using an ability, being low on health, etc.) but it's not too much and they have cool downs that mean they're not constantly popping up like in Overwatch.
