So looks like Extraction is coming out at the end of the month. On XGP day 1, too. I wasn't too impressed with what I saw, but they also delayed the game by a few months so maybe they've added more features since. Oh and Siege is going to be on XGP as well.

Yep, Extraction is out and on gamepass. My first impressions are pretty good. For anyone still unlocking Siege operators I think it said it unlocks the ones in the Extraction in Siege.

Extraction is pretty fun, Siege had good shooting mechanics but you actually pulled the trigger so rarely that a PvE version seems obvious. Making you rotate operators and the stealth system is cool, if a bit opaque on what will and will not alarm and when. Also whoever made the corrupted hive mission a thing will pay for his crimes.

So that first match I did we completed all theee objectives easy. Tried a second mission, one teammate died, carried them to the pod, orher guy voted to extract and so did I so we didn't even complete the first objective lmao. Discovered there's a solo mode and you still get rewards from it, which is very cool. Liking the game a lot so far

Is there a separate thread for extraction or something? I didn't see one, but it seems pretty quiet here. Game's great, lots of fun, especially with a buddy or two. Online quickplay seems to be all about the speedrunning, so it's almost like a different game when you're playing with randoms. I don't like going that fast, but I'll pop the advanced drone and just give them a pile of intel so they're at least not smashing their face into too much trouble unaware.

Yeah, I'm not convinced it's a great idea - since I mean, that's what claymores are for! Whenever runouts like that occur, someone always gets hit by a claymore under a window (or in front of a door) and then you just use 'em as bait to get another!

Man I understand how outside Valks were fun, but gently caress outside Valks forever and this is an amazing change. She still has super fun and creative placements everywhere else within the map, so she's still mad powerful, she's just less cheesy now. Maybe she won't be my stack's permaban now. My current salt is that my callout game is much better than my actual gunplay game, so I'll die, give great information to my team, but we'll still lose because I died early and left us at a 4v5 situation
