The framing of that story is a bit sickening. Lynching an unpopular religious minority for being accused of rape isn't woke or some loving repudiation of rape culture.

get that OUT of my face posted:the "hypersexual Muslim" stereotype stuck out to me because it's a direct overlap with the hypersexual black man Also: Hypersexual Jew for the early 20th century. Shia get this to a degree in Turkey. It's a basically universal stereotype for any population worried about ethnic groups mixing.
