ImageNet is the largest annotated image database in the world and is used by computer vision systems worldwide to train algorithms or identify objects. Examples of applications are cars driving on their own to surveillance cameras. These data sets are usually not very reliable and "racist", for example by setting white skin as the normal case and therefore recognizing black people as monkeys, keyword Algorithmic Bias. Trevor Paglen has now programmed an ImageNet roulette with which you can have your own images or webcam snapshots classified by ImageNet. According to ImageNet I am a newsreader or alternatively a "bufferer". Both are true. Obama is a rape suspect (uff) and Trump is an ex-president (right), an elder statesman (wrong) and a protectionist (right). Angela Merkel is Queen Mother (hmm). Jordan Peterson is surprisingly recognized as an academic, Slavoj Zizek as "Beard", which doesn't mean facial hair with Image-Net. Spiderman is a cheerleader and cheerleader porn is Batman.  Images you upload to this thing may be visible to other users. If you upload an image with transparency, you will see other users' images where the transparency is. I am guessing this is because it doesn't clear the bitmap it works with between processing different people's images.
