I mean those online shows that were before poo poo like YouTube, like poo poo where it was a flash toon or video you downloaded from some dudes site and it’s resolution is like that of a postage stamp

Like these ones:

Joecartoon 1997 Joseph C. Shields
I remember this mostly as the site with the frog in a blender cartoon that I watched when I was a kid. It was pretty awesome at the time and the gerbil videos had tons of poo humor in them which was considered comedy gold at the time

I dunno if it aged well though. Probably not

What happened to it: The site is still up, but doesn't seem to be updated anymore? A Dutch Media Company, Endemol, bought it in 2007 (but that didn't seem to change much), and Joe tried moving it to YouTube but that fell apart after two years.

Killfrog 1999? Kevin Swearingen
This was like a low rent JoeCartoon at the time. Wasn't as funny and wasn't as well animated, but it had it's moments.

None of which I can actually remember except for a mary sue character of the animator and the singing bass parody video.

What happened to it: In 2015 the site died, and from then on, Kevin hasn't had the funds to reopen the site. Nobody seems to have cared, though.

Homestar Runner 1999 Mike and Matt Chapman
The most succesful pre-youtube series I know of (they still update it today!), it's centered around a bunch of abstract characters living in Free Country, USA. The best parts of it coming through in a weekly series called sbemails

Sbemails was a weekly series that was released every Monday(?) and starred StrongBad and some other characters. As a teenager I would be looking forward to getting home on Monday just to get the new 2-3 minute sbemail cartoon. Eventually, they got to 200 episodes, and did a long one that had an intro sung by they might be giants. After that though, sbemails sort of died off, along with the rest of the site.

What happened to it: after 2009, Matt and Jackie had a second child and moved out to Los Angeles to work on shows like yo gabba gabba. And I guess after 10 years, they just got burnt out on it.

Those Xiaoxiao stick figure fighters were pretty rad, but I have no idea what happened to the creator.

Wiki has this though:

quote:

In June 2004, Zhu filed a lawsuit against Nike for plagiarizing his cartoon stickmen in their commercials. Nike representatives denied the accusations, claiming that the stickman figure lacks originality, and is public domain. Zhu eventually won the lawsuit, claiming his copyright on his style and not the stickman,[1] and Nike was ordered to pay $36,000 to the cartoonist.

I watched Pure Pwnage when that was a thing. I remember hearing about boom headshot from a friend and somehow got sucked into watching the whole series. I don't know why, all I remember of it now is that it didn't seem to have any real direction then it kinda got cancelled when some dude died but then it got picked up for Canadian TV?

I seriously don't remember much of it. I had to find out the title by typing in "boom headshot show".

What was the thing with "Bufferload Bill" in it, that single joke killed me, even though I do not remember the rest of the show being particularly funny

And I refuse to believe there is no reference to it online, how is this possible

Oh I tried spelling it Bufferlo and found it, wow this is terrible, cool, glad I was right that the rest of it was garbage (as, really, is the Bufferlo Bill joke, but so it goes)

I totally watched foamy the squirrel and my idiot teen kid self agreed with all of his points

But apparently Jonathan is still producing content on a YouTube channel now, with one of the latest ones complaining about how people can’t find the truth in the middle

I never watched happy tree friends though. even 15 year old me wouldn’t watch that

Perhaps you have not been to the *Playground*.
The *Playground* is for Taalo and for Orz, but *Campers* can go.
It more fun than several.
You can go there for too much fun.
Probably something like Web Drifter starring Martin Sargent, which originally "aired" on Revision3, an attempt at an internet TV channel. Needless to say, the thing failed.

I haven't watched this since it aired but it's probably not good.

This case of an intraperitoneal zucchini is unusual, and does raise questions as to how hard one has to push a blunt vegetable to perforate the rectum.
