Like, the first two movies have loving amazing scores and this one's is... just kinda okay. It's the weakest part of the movie for sure, in the last fight the music was becoming a little irritating for me but not enough to ruin the experience. One of my favorite scenes in the first film was John going after the dude's son in the bathhouse, the music there is fantastic and it sucks we didn't get anything like that here.

I am so excited for tonight. I was hoping there would be some post-credit scene that just reveals this also takes place in the universe of The Raid and that's the next film so I never have to watch any other movie ever again.

This is the craziest thing I've ever seen!!!!" Normally I'd be annoyed but it was too cute to be annoying.

That fight in the antique shop was one of the best fighting action scenes I've ever seen. Also, I too noticed Keanu getting slow in the fight w the Raid dudes. There was one moment where he was super slowly open palm slapping them that felt like a goofy outtake.

For me, this was easily the weakest movie of the franchise. It's certainly not bad, but for the most part I just found it boring. I think it's because for the majority of the movie Wick is fighting faceless goons (sometimes literally). Coming after Chapter 2's assortment of colorful assassins, this was a major disappointment. Even the non-fighting characters were fairly bland, like the Elder basically just being a stereotypical sultan. The settings were also usually anonymous, particularly in Morocco. That being said, there's a lot to like. Anjelica Huston's character was very cool and Wick's meeting with her was visually astounding. My favorite parts of the movie were any time Mark Dacasco and his ninja clan made an appearance. What was great about them is that the movie didn't try to do anything clever with them. They're just ninjas, and it's been like 25 years since we've seen a movie with straight up ninjas as the main antagonist. The dog stunts in the Morocco fight were also very good.

At this point, the story is a waste of time. I don't care about the high table, or some elder weirdo, or the adjudication poo poo and it's wishy washy judgments, or some other rear end in a top hat mogul who makes coins and has... some kind of power?, or any other hierarchy in he mythology that makes this feel like pure fantasy bogged down by too much poo poo. Keep it simple. Assassin fucks up and has to fight his way out of it, boom, over. What I would have liked to see is Wick, now without the aid of the continental privileges had to rely on ingenuity alone for the entire movie. Maybe introduce a character or two who are completely unaware of all this syndicate soap opera bullshit (i.e., normal bystanders) and help Wick, and get caught up in the storm, a-la Bourne Identity. The first 30 mins or so we're like this, and I really wanted the rest of the movie to just keep going in that vein. Instead, we get Halle Berry, another continental owner, who waltzes Wick into the inner sanctum on the flimsiest of pretenses within 15 mins. Meh. Still a fun time, some moments are amazing, and overall the action is better than JW2, but as a whole it always seems just shy of greatness.

The movie was fun but it felt like a lot of scene setting for the "real" confrontation of Baba Yaga and the Bowery flipping over The High Table. And maybe the next movie will justify it but I don't really understand the filmmakers thought an entire movie of preparation was necessary.

That movie ruled and goddamn the cinematography is better than ever. That being said, I think I enjoyed it less than 1 but more than 2 personally. It absolutely has that vibe though of how Fast and Furious went from boosting car stereos to fighting super humans except over three films instead of 8. Also while I agree the music was the weakest part, the music was epic as hell when Wick and The Raid squad were about to fight and you realized this was actually gonna happen. I haven't seen it yet, but since it seems to set up a 4th film, I'm glad there's a chance for Common to come back. His fight with John Wick in 2 is great, and the absurd amount of stairs they fall down always cracks me up. They don't mention he's dead in this movie or anything, do they?

There's certainly the possibility that it's being played straight, and that's more likely overall, but I think there's still some wiggle room to have some wild stuff going on beneath the surface. I just want them to keep on making John Wick movies forever, have Keanu pass the torch after like JW4 or 5 and then carry on with films in this world and shot with this same style. Give me that continental series too, I want it all, and honestly if it were going to keep going past Keanu's involvement doing it as a series is a safer bet, though god I have no clue how they match the cool fights and cinematography of the films when adapting the universe to a T.V. show.

I thought it was a pretty bad film with very good fight choreography that felt like every scene was about pandering to people my age in some very overt way that got on my nerves and reinforces my belief in not having sequels to good simple films, especially when they're based on a mysterious badass because the only way to continue the story is apparently to remove any mystery, which is sad because i was hoping they'd see the problems in the 2nd one and fix them instead of diving ever deeper but i recognise this is probably a v minority opininonion

Like every Wick movie, I thought it peaked early with horse and knife-a-geddon but it just kept topping itself. Chad talking about training the dogs on the Big Picture podcast was really good. I mean it’s obvious stuff, but just hearing him say „dogs don’t know they’re in a movie, they’re not play attacking people, they’re trying to maim a human being“ makes for an unsettling commentary track in your head during all the Halle Berry scenes.

I enjoyed this movie a lot, but I found it weaker than the first two from most directions...it felt a bit like there were production or maybe postproduction issues, or less budget to spread around, or a missing editor or something.
None of this is damning by any means, I liked the film, but it's worrying me when it comes to sequels.

I think it’s an in joke of Asian/Silat Raid type actors/stunt men/martial artists helping the American action hero by slowing down to his level. In my opinion the reason it may feel weaker is because the original sold him as being down after losing his wife and dog and car and had a simple through line with pathos (if I’m using the right word) and Keanu sells he’s being dragged back in. He was wronged and it was unjustifiable. In the sequels we don’t get that and it’s shifted to the underworld and he’s a more a regular action hero trying to survive. It should feel personal they’re going after Wick but it’s not the same somehow in my opinion now that it’s opened up. If they either connect to a human/animal element or motivation it may help but it’s grown beyond simplicity.
