If I remember correctly from his post in RGD he said IHeartRadio paid him 400k/year, but that is likely for all his podcasts (and BtB is just the most popular one). His stance seems to be that he'd rather take ad money than grift subs from poor people on Patreon, which is fine if the ads are for Hello Fresh and less so if its the loving Army.

I liked History of Rome and most of Revolutions, but he was never going have a great take on the Russian Revolution, there's just far too much bad liberal historiography out there on it to blind him That his next podcast is going to be reviewing history books is going to be really telling, watch them review Snyder or Applebaum glowingly at some point

Evans podcasts are almost all focused on the culture war (four part episode on DeSantis' campaign), supporting NATO (Wagner in Africa) or idealistic anarchism that won't go anywhere outside the audience's bedroom or squat (covering Cop City, etc)
