theyre also not clear on if theyll ever bring their multilist solution to macos like they did for ios. it gets around the 50k limit by splitting the lists in a more granular way

its probably the only adblocking software ive ever paid for though and its good enough id buy a rewrite if they did it for the desktop again. i think its only two people and theyre one of the few regularly updating adblockers on ios that let you toggle per site and filter

Safari, with Firefox Focus on iOS and Ghostery on macOS.

I’m probably going to go back to Firefox + NoScript for the latter because neither of my Macs are getting Intel patches.

wait they were acquired? i thought that they basically went the adblock plus route but with added telemetrics

its ublock origin and umatrix for me right now along with https everywhere but thats seeming less and less needed these days

i suppose less is better regardless and any browser without some filtering is an alien experience now

last i heard ghostery and ublock plus have some sort of deals with advertisers via whitelisting and or analytics or something like that

try: https://www.eff.org/privacybadger
and https://github.com/dhowe/AdNauseam

but with browser finger printing you should probably throw away your laptop after each browsing session

use firefox
ublock ~origin~
and pihole

privacy badger is cool but not really needed with firefox's built in tracking protection

They were sold off again. Now it’s open source and they don’t monetize from user analytics.

I’m going to set up pihole ~someday~ :effort:
