Ehlers-Dubois-Kucherov Donato-Backstrom-Oshie Tolvanen-Coyle-Joseph Fabbri-Wennberg-Caufield Extras: Denisenko, Suzuki Nurse-Schultz Martinez-Wilde Grzelcyk-Merkley Vaakanainen Hellebuyck Samsonov Bolded players who have actually been in the NHL this year. Been keeping up with the stats for my team, going prospect heavy hasn't been the best for my offense. I have six players who haven't played a single NHL game and most of them probably won't suit up this year. Fabbri was the only prospect gamble that has paid off so far although Vaakanainen has appeared in a handful of games as well. The SAS Fantasy Bruins have scored 63 goals this season which is one worse than the real life Minnesota Wild (27th in goals for). Then again, 14 teams in the real NHL have less than 70 goals so maybe it's not the end of the world. Just about half of my goals are from three players. Ehlers leads the team with 11 and Oshie and Dubois each have 10. Goaltending is maybe what would keep my team alive if they were in the actual NHL. Hellebuyck is at 2.42 GAA and a 0.928 sv% and Samsonov as the backup is perfectly fine too with a 2.86 and 0.912. Both play for teams in real life that tend to concede a lot of shots so I think they'd be fine behind my Not Very Great defense.

I have a whopping code:
Other players I drafted include Greg Pateryn (injured), Bowen Byram (somewhat disappointing back in juniors), Igor Shestyorkin (dominating the AHL but stuck behind Lundqvist/Georgiev), Jeremy Bracco and Kenny Agostino (PPG in the AHL; why the hell did nobody claim Agostino off waivers?), Alex Turcotte (15P in 12GP for Wisconsin but still somehow -8), and Kirill Kaprizov (PPG in the KHL as usual; please sign or the Wild will never be worth watching again). Forums shat themselves when I tried to post a longer post earlier, so gently caress typing that out again, here you go: Pros: 5+ forwards on track for 20+ goals (get your act together marner) very impressed with Duclair at his ice-time. Very not impressed with Mark Jankowski. Somewhat unimpressed with Strome/Steen happy with D group, all between 2nd and 1st pairing minutes (Edler at 23/night ) and all putting up points Jack Campbell is a Bad Goalie, and Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen will not play in the NHL. Unfortunately neither has Gustav Forsling or Nathan Bastian (yet) this year.

Here's what I've got so far. The good: 93 goals. A forward (Svechnikov) and a defenseman (Chabot) who can carry their teams. A solid top six, even with an injured star (Rantanen) due to a promising young scorer (Chytil) who also fills the much-needed second-line center role. Good depth overall. One goalie (Khudobin) posting a .931/2.14 right now. The bad: A couple boat anchors at the bottom of what you see there. Two sub-900 goalies (Quick and Brossoit.) Injuries.

Quick review here: Zuccarello-O'Reilly-Mantha Voracek-Hughes-Connolly Vesalainen-Bjugstad-Frolik Goldobin-Jarnkrok-Howden Perlini Hmm, well, you guys saying I took Hughes early, boy am I eating my own balls on that. Connolly has been quite good and that top six isn't bad in the sense that all six of those players are good, but it would get decimated by better teams. Vesalainen and Goldobin are not in the NHL, the other four players in my bottom six are decent. This is an extremely rough forwards group, I guarantee I have the least amount of goals up front of any team in this draft. Hronek-Klingberg Severson-Fox Hutton-Aho Schlemko, Davies Now we're talking! That top four wound up being quite formidable, as Hronek has taken a step this year and Fox is a stud. Varlamov Schneider Varlamov is solid. Schneider good lord

My offense is still bad since I drafted a lot of prospects, but I think if I had actual depth pieces rounding out my team it'd be good. Kucherov is Kucherov and I have 6 other forwards with 10+ goals, and my goalie tandem of Hellebuyck and Samsonov is great.
