Wondering if this reluctance to examine Trump's financials/corruption could be driven in part by some Reagan/Bush era CIA money laundering that went south, similar to what might be the story behind Epstein. Trump tried to butter up the Clintons to try again, maybe nothing materialized. Trump suspected Epstein was their new guy, which he resented, but socialized with Epstein anyway to try and prove he could be trusted for another deal. Trump wants to brag about whatever involvement he had, knowing this would be bad he focuses so hard on not spilling the beans that while speaking he has to abandon trains of thought frequently or dwell on safe moronic stuff until he grasps a safe thread.

Never forget the Livestream when Milwaukee? I think had a house where some kids were being allegedly held and the police refused to intervene, so when a mob came to the house the police loaded a bunch of kids who weren't allegedly there in police vans before the house was set on fire by a group the original protestors did not recognize.

That was wild. There were makeshift bedrooms and kids stuff scattered about. Drawings were found that seemed disturbing, but our assumptions might have made them seem worse still. IDK. We'll never know.

Everyone should check out the trailer for the Finding Quantum Quest podcast: https://www.findingquantumquest.com/

In a nutshell, in 2010 NASA produced an animated sci-fi movie starring Chris Pine, John Travolta, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Amanda Peet, James Earl Jones, Mark Hamill, William Shatner, Samuel L. Jackson, Jason Alexander, Sandra Oh, and Neil Armstrong. It ran in one theater in Kentucky, then disappeared forever. It never got a wide theatrical release or home video release and it's never been on any streaming services.

The trailer is Epstein thread catnip, and the guys who made it are the same people who did the What If? Podcast, which covered some weird bullshit too.

thanks obama

idk half-life Alex, il-2, DCS look pretty good in VR on a reverb. I suspect a lot of game devs develop(ed) for lower resolution and lower end hardware, so no point in making detailed environments.

wonder if VR has applications in therapy

I think I saw a video with a Waco survivor recently. Maybe it was on Breaking Points? He said the Netflix show was trash, iirc. Seemed open to the idea that his first person recollection could be incorrect, and understood just being present doesn't mean he was 100% in the know, so he spent a lot of time researching the events to corroborate information.

New Netflix documentary on Boston Bombing? Curious what it covers.

E: I've been prepping dinner (in hindsight, yikes: about to start the pressure cooker) and so I missed some but I think I caught it when it gets relevant; episode 2 at 39 minutes is where a guy said, "ah, the guy the fsb mentioned"

Re-listening to the ghost stories series on the octopus and it is surprising how much more detail it has on the various accounts of the days around Danny's death compared to the Netflix one

that is a shame. I was really hoping they would use the opportunity to do some good work but that doesn't look like it happened. Haven't watched the series yet.

there are definitely some so far unexplored avenues on Danny's death that could have been investigated. I've considered it myself but don't want to contact the surviving family members

It was frustrating because in the podcast interviews they had some details I don't recall hearing about riconosciuto. They did some firsthand investigation/interviews, which were refreshing when compared with ghost stories's "we read a book and a blog".

Also, it may be a bit of a disservice to use riconosciuto's behavior now after 26 years(?) in the clink to judge with certainty his earlier statements. Similarly Hamilton and that bowling alley lady. It sends the message that despite however much has been corroborated, gotta throw it all out because someone couldn't keep it together spending decades locked up or because one person was feeding them poorly sourced information.

The podcast interviews had some interesting details not heard elsewhere. They did Trillbillies and Chapo, too. Gets a bit redundant but a smattering here and there.

The Ghost Stories one is like 13 parts and 2 or 3 addendums. Branches out everywhere though, so be ready.

Why the gently caress is this clip in the netflix show? Was the guy loving with her and showed her a doctored tape to discredit himself and also her? Is she making this poo poo up to gently caress with us? Who made the doctored footage for the netflix show? I was recently watching the other documentary about the Kennedy autopsy and it included Zapruder footage and nothing looked out of place.

It's like the various conspiracies figured their agents would spill some of the beans at some point and that was understood and even accepted, so long as they also did or claimed certain things to discredit themselves and thus make their truthful admission be handwaived away as crazy talk too. So have your video editing department also whip up some poo poo like this as an inside joke and to keep in the pocket to show the cleaning lady or the guy at the bar you were blowing off steam with.

Yeah, I'm more focused on why this specific thing got highlighted and included in the Netflix doc and production budget assigned to the reenactment and doctored footage.

Well, I think the other thing is, when people talk about the flight envelope of an aircraft or the possibility of a manoeuvre, they're thinking in terms of "if you don't want to die". What can you do without putting the aircraft in an unrecoverable situation, overtaxing the airframe etc etc.

But, if you're planning on crashing, why would you care if you were flying at lamppost level or could just barely get the airplane pointed at the building you want to crash into?

Exceeding the flight envelope can cause wings or control surfaces to rip off the plane, making subsequent maneuvers significantly more difficult.
