I�m still in the initial cracking I think but the Fox Island poo poo is nuts to think about because it�s a tore open scab. It�s maybe one of the few cases of actual beginning documentation of a sophisticated network where you can clearly see a design. Shelden was connected to another kid farm at the same time in Tennessee which operated in the same way and had documentation on how to replicate the program.

compare that with how Franklin is discussed on the surface with �oh this was a hoax� unless you put effort into the actual events and interviews.

instead of watching the debates I had my book club where we are reading and critically discussing From Hell, which is a very incisive work for this moment in history and probably all post modern moments in history and I keep coming back to the significance of the prologue with the psychic character admitting that he made everything up but it came true anyways in the shadow of the literal blood sacrifice of the abject poor in creating the modern economy

Ok finally got to watch the Octopus Murders investigation and it was absolutely insane. Like both in content and form as a sort of almost novelty (in this day and age) local news special report. It's driving me nuts though.

So the implication coming off of it is that Mcgowan did not kills his family and that seems to be the working theory of many others who said they would not like to get "suicided" like that. I've tried googling but haven't been able to find any other developments since these aired.

They talk about their strategy of building a "pretend" criminal enterprise to lure in a guy and I just imagine the massive airquotes that have to go around the 'pretend' qualifier.
