You have to PAY to post on that forum?!?
I'm in Northern California. Every 1-2 weeks, I'll be sitting at my computer and feel an itch on my neck. I go to scratch it and find this small (2mm?) bug. I moved in to a new place 6 months ago and this is freaking me out. What is this?

e: it doesn't hop like a flea, has no wings.

I spent way too long trying to figure out what bug that is which lead me to https://www.whatsthatbug.com/. Engrossing. And gross.

I narrowed it down to 'beetle' but apparently there's tons of 'em!

I have similar question, not sure it's worth a separate thread.

This was sitting on outside of my balcony door. Probably a loving cockroach, but I'd like to make sure :(

That... is a Humbug Schoolbus. While dangerous in the adolescent stage, they mellow out as an adult.
Pretty rare fellows, in that they can both fly/glide and dive underwater.

Leaf beetle, family Chrysomelidae.

Go post in the Critterquest thread if you got any better pictures.

It's an inchworm, a geometrid moth caterpillar. Extremely common.

I know it's a stinkbug, but which one? Found in Northern CA. The wings covers are twisted back
