It's been 10 years to the day since That Sodding Gamer uploaded the notorious katana unboxing video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jb3UobSZl34 The video is probably most notable for the "It's tape" meme it spawned, featuring That Sodding Gamer's younger brother:  Which was hilariously parodied by goons in a number of ways  This video still runs through my head frequently. The cadence and mannerisms of TSG are genuinely fascinating; the only other notable videos featuring him in profile are the cutting video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGLSQthlbH4 And the zombie apocalypse video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qfzVcMm8dQM It's worth noting that his channel is still active making Let's Plays, but it's disappointing that we haven't seen what he looks like 10 years on (he's likely apprehensive about putting any videos of himself online after the backlash from the unboxing video). What does he look like now? What does he do for a living? Maybe we will never know.

there is a very creepy moment around 4 mins in when he's like, "well it certainly looks very sharp, doesn't it? yeah, I can certainly believe that it could cut through just about anything" also I used to know a guy that practiced katana skills by fighting with wooden "katanas" in the front yard with his brother can anyone explain why the nerdiest people love Japanese culture so much?

I watch this video every few years, whenever it pops into my mind. And you're right, he's still making random let's play videos. Very strange dude (and family, from what I can tell), but he seems happy playing 20+ year old video games so who am I to judge
