Kickstarter had an issue once upon a time of people donating to make their goals. In essence by letting kickstarter skim some off say $2500 you would be able to keep the post skim larger amount of say $7551. I've no idea what the specific guidelines were for gofundme at the time this campaign happened and no proof regardless. Still whenever I see a ridiculous amount of money just barely put a campaign past it's goal I have to wonder. Of course I would never impugn the integrity of Ben Lesnick.

Doesn't Wing Commander have tractor beams? Why didn't the carrier just tractor beam the damaged fighter, or the wreckage of the fighter after pushed overboard? The boils down to about 2200 purchases, which isn't really that many on a worldwide scale. Running the numbers CiG has hooked about 3 thousand broke brains who will buy pretty much anything they put out, and another 5 thousand softer sells that buy JPEGs that overlap with their needs. The corollary isn't just pornography, it's niche fetish pornography. This is like furries paying hundreds for a half-assed fursona drawing or even creepier fetishes forking over thousands for whatever they're into. We're on a sliding scale between quality and fetishism and CiG went hard into fetishism. LostRook fucked around with this message at 16:37 on Jun 11, 2021 |

Gawping at trailers and salivating over the promise of enjoying a product. You fools. You rubes without sense, you are lost. A videogame is something to be projected onto your garden wall and pondered about, as if one was considering the fate of an idiot child without a scholarship. For shame. I hope some of you realise that to enjoy a game is to miss the entire point of them. They are expressions of agony, and we make sense of our own torturous day to day actions through them. Given the installer, buying Star Citizen means unfettered access to thousands of gaming dad computers, which CiG have likely misrepresented as millions. Meanwhile, SC had to create everything from scratch like the company, engine and unique concepts like space, war and aliens. Look at all CiG has accomplished with only two years of development compared to the twenty it took to make a game I've never even played.
