The song "You Got It" by Roy Orbison was stuck in my head while making coffee this morning and it struck me that every successive line in the chorus is less and less necessary "Anything you want, you got it." That right there covers like 99% of possible requests. We're basically set already. "Anything you need, you got it." This line covers things you don't want but do need. So, like, medicine, or tax help or something. Roy Orbison is offering to go to CVS for us. Thanks, Roy. "Anything at all, you got it." This line is there to assure us that even if we were to ask Roy Orbison to get us something we neither want nor need, just to gently caress with him, he'll still get it. For greater impact, the "need" line should have come before "want," because the set of things you want but don't need is much larger than the set of things you need but don't want.
