hosed up since i made the thread but i'd give machikado like a 7. i like yuko and momo's dynamic and mikan is a fun character but it really, really feels like a partial adaptation of an ongoing manga that hasn't really hit its stride yet and it kinda felt like it was dragging its feet in some of the second half, and the final episode is just kind of a return to the status quo that turns its most interesting moment into another gag. it really needs another season to pull everything together into something more interesting, because in trying to be a mix of a regular sol show and something that goes a bit heavier on ongoing plot threads it only felt like, 1/3 of a story i am interested in seeing where the manga goes though The Colonel fucked around with this message at 20:28 on Sep 28, 2019 |

i mean, granblue also has sexy dudes and afaict there's plenty of focus on interactions between characters other than gran/djeeta. i never got very into granblue but it strikes me as something that hits kind of an equal balance and i'd imagine the anime is similar?

anyway i'm just bummed that every big mobage anime goes with the male protag but at least granblue seems to go with putting djeeta in the side ovas maybe some day a fgo anime other than learning with manga will go with gudako... ahaha... hah... e; tho azur lane did take the secret woke 3rd option of cutting out the mc entirely and making the chars gayer for each other instead so i respect that

people do this every so often when an anime that doesn't center around gay characters has a scene where a character says they're gay and like. it's cool if casual rep does something for you but man if you're that desperate for gay rep there's like. a lot of anime, about gay characters, you could watch lol. the well for good stuff there isn't quite as big with gay dudes as it is with yuri i guess but people did the same thing with anima yell and like uhh man if you want a kirara anime with casual gay stuff you, literally already had comic girls, new game and slow start build a ton of stuff around it lol

i dont know if persona will get less homophobic without hashino with how much of a dinosaur atlus is at its core they might just replace him with someone just as bad in some ways, but maybe creative staff on the games will actually be able to do interesting things instead of having a middle aged japanese guy get mad at them for not making the women look young and cute enough but who knows the persona 5 royal content that hashino didn't head has already turned out absolutely bizarre and half-baked so maybe the franchise direction is just permanently hosed Neddy Seagoon posted:I was not aware of that.
