Mahomes fell into the perfect situation where he got to be under Andy Reid & learn from Alex Smith while on the bench. In an ideal world most bad teams would let their 1st round rookie QB ride the pine while watching a vet but those teams that are that bad feel pressured to have their future franchise QB out ASAP.

I suspect Gordon saw what Bell did and thought "I can do the same thing." Then the Chargers had good backup RB's and it tanked his value completely.
